School nurse for the win! The hours are hard to beat. You work 9 months a year with week long breaks every quarter. The pay doesn’t seem as high at first but the benefits can be phenomenal. The district that I am in has such good benefits the pay is almost as competitive as bedside but with 1/3 of the hours and stress. Plus hanging out with happy kids is unbeatable ?

I think you’ll be golden. I had very similar points and had an interview/ offered a spot. I went with a different program just because of proximity but was very impressed by ccc! Good luck!

Does anyone know if there is a forum board or facebook group started for mhcc fall 2020 yet? Should we start one? Congratulations to all of those who made it into a program. For those of you who are alternates /didn’t get in, don’t give up. Hopefully, next year you’ll have a better chance at starting plus you’ll end up having all interactions in person versus zoom . It will be worth it!

When did you receive email updates from clackamas? I haven’t received any communication since the interview. I heard back from mhcc with an invitation to fall cohort but I was waiting to see what ccc said.

They said everyone in the cohort was given same amount in transfer scholarship. But, finaid does vary based on individual information. I'm pretty bummed but I don’t think I’m going to accept the program offer. Private colleges just want too much money. Good luck to all you though!

I got accept to the 2020 cohort! Stoked for February!
