  1. ya. I got the same from NAU. I think we will hear more through middle of the month from the respective community college on next steps on onboarding details. This is what I was told by MCC. Background check is dealt by placement team of Maricopa colleges in Tempe so they have a deadline for that through middle of next week. If you are doing check for the first time in ADB it takes 5-7 days.
  2. This is what some of our friends have posted earlier for MePN schedule. Not sure what was changed due to COVID-19. Please validate and plan accordingly things could have completely changed as well. I live in this area so my 2 cents ? For BSN-IH : the area is really developing and fast growing, there are less student housing compared to Tempe, but plenty of housing available. If you live in Tempe and want to commute to Gilbert the traffic is low as you are going against the traffic. AFAIK, your public commute options are limited. If you have kids - there are really good day care centers in this area For MePN - if you are going INTO phoenix from any suburbs the traffic is super crazy in AM and vice-versa in PM so plan for that. There could be more public commute options here if you don't want to drive.
  3. For me it took less than a week. May be depends on individual history.
  4. I heard it as May 17th, please validate , but you will get the schedule shortly I guess after completing all admission formalities.
  5. You can also find more details here .. in individual brochures NAU RN to BSN
  6. I was referring to this , I assume all transcripts are sent by snail mail or did it give option for electronic delivery ?
  7. Thanks @chocolate79087 What all does it ask for ? Do you need to give heads up to recommenders ? Just checking I want to jump on to it tomorrow.
  8. When you click on that - it will prompt to pick and option I think @Flyer89is indicating (and me) is about picking Transfer --> Online option.
  9. Thats what I am planning to do. if anything you find different , please let me know. vice versa.
  10. I have a bachelors degree too, and tried to find what works best. U of A has really good mix of scholarships available through their scholarship universe, it's again not available directly with the undergrad application. (Please validate). You have to apply to them later. More info here : https://financialaid.arizona.edu/scholarshipuniverse Reg. U of A scholarships/aid that are considered through the application, I heard, they are only available for first time BSN's. I could be wrong. ? Keep digging...
  11. I think its 10k more for residents vs. 30k non-residents and MePN is a flat rate program. You can also refer to course catalog to see the courses and why they are higher. it boils down to number of courses as BSN-IH is online (for courses - someone plz confirm) vs. MEPN Is in-person learning. ** Also you see MePN is NOT typical MSN , one has to take MSN/DNP again to become APRN/NP/ other tracks fyi. Degree Total Tuition Residents: $42,933 Non-Residents: $51,933 MEPN is a flat rate 15 month program.
  12. They can be found here : length I think is 15 months from May. Costs & Tuition BSN-IH (Fall 2019) Degree Total Tuition** Residents: $32,612 Non-Residents: $81,812 Tuition per Year** Residents: $16,306 Non-Resident: $40,906 **Total Cost is based after admission in BSN-IH and Pre-Requisite classes completed.
  13. @Reenn MCC AM here (NAU) I am also looking at FB Groups as well. Please let me know if you find one.
  14. Congrats all, Appreciate your inputs @Amy H I think its a worth while wait for you to pursue with U of A BSN-IH. I live in the Gilbert area so I am sure that search wouldn't be hard :) . I also understood your inputs about past interview/Kira exp and how folks w/ medical background have a distinctive edge in U of A Nursing admissions. Again thank you!! I opted for CEP/NAU and wish you all good luck for the journey ahead in to Nursing!!
  15. (Sorry folks to deviate a lil bit) @Amy H and others who applied for BSN (Tucson & IH/Gilbert) - did you hear anything on that one ? Just curious , seems BSN is running two weeks behind MePN. Please share anything or if you are aware of ? Thanks in advance.
  16. Thanks Amy. That helps! Was the interview was all video snippets or anything to type ?
  17. @Amy HThank you for your quick response, appreciate it. May be they are processing MEPN first then get to BSN. Are you applying in Phoenix area or in Tucson ? I thought BSN have significantly more seats than MEPN and it easier to get in to, as its 3x a year. If you don't mind asking, I am lil bit nervous now ? , (here are my stats: Pre-req GPA: close to 4, Cumm GPA: 3.52, and HESI : 90.x, past B.S.) , I learnt most of mine are above avg. but not sure now ? , what are yours (sorry to deviate a lil from MEPN - apologies mates) for Spring (last one) entry numbers ? [[Unfortunately I cant PM you]]
  18. @Amy H Congrats and Congrats to all who got interviews! I am actively searching for BSN U of A forums and didn't find one for Summer start. Any one of you know if they already got interviews for Summer 2021 (May 2021) start ? Seems both of these had Dec 15 2020 as deadlines (and start dates as well), Historically do MEPN's got first interviews than BSN's ? Were you referring to this cycle or last cycle on having interview in BSN Program ? TIA.
  19. I hope you found success. isn't NAU offering preceptors any more ? I thought they are the only ones that do. Did anything change recently with NAU nad preceptorship ?
  20. Perfect. Thank you for detailed replies. Appreciate your interest in spreading the knowledge.
  21. Thank you very much. This is very informative. Just to get in to more details. I have Bachelors in engineering degree already but it is international degree. Not done in US and the high school was done 15 years ago, international as well. How do they give credits to some courses like Math and english ? Re: My comment to speed through is I guess pre-reqs are required to apply for nursing program ( after semester 2 one is technically eligible to apply)and there is a wait time based on school. Hence checking to see what can be done online vs. waiting for Jan 2019 for classes to open up and be able to fit in to application deadlines.
  22. This forum is very informative. Few questions 1. Is there a way to accelerate through these pre-req's ? How long does these typically take to complete( 2 or 3 per semester?)? 2. Is there a way to take these pre-req's privately and attend an exam or have to attend the classes ? 3. Was there a wait time once you are ready to apply and when folks are accepted in to program ?
