  1. Ours is 6 months for new grads, 6-8 weeks for floor nurses
  2. They said 20th would be the last but I can't imagine they'd be doing it on the weekend... fingers crossed ?
  3. I did not and other people have said they didn't. I hope that relieves some anxiety.
  4. I know it feels scary but it'll get sorted soon don't worry, they wouldnt deny you because you couldnt sign in the portal, trust me.. its just two different departments and one going ahead of the other
  5. Congrats to everyone who received one so far!
  6. Thanks, I saw that. The application is really finicky with regards to the browser. You don't see the application button on Firefox and I heard on Chrome someone couldn't see it. You can see it on Safari and on Microsoft Edge. It's a little disappointing how little is on offer, I'm assuming that's because the last cohort are still in orientation and there aren't so many free preceptors.
  7. I applied memorial city ER and observation..
  8. Houston Methodist's residency program opens from applications on the 1st June. Does anyone know with it being a system approach how many places and posts we will be able to apply for?
  9. That's how they usually do it, but its always been before the published date in the past. When I was admitted we didn't know the actual date until it happened.
  10. The Summer cohort start Monday and tbh its a lot of work leading up to the start of a new intake.. I'd be amazed if they would have had time to get another intake going at the same time.
  11. I don't know tbh, you could ask the contact person at the school (we aren't allowed to post names of staff on this forum).
  12. No-one can really say what your chances are, but there are certainly people who have got in with a lower GPA and HESI than you
  13. firstly if you havent join the facebook page listed in this thread and the other group mentioned on there... if you did your prints contact the BON... you cant list individual names of staff on this site but contact the contact person at the school and let them know you are following up... the BON will be who you get the card from
  14. no I don't believe so, its just an evaluation they do to work out if you have the courses or what needs to be completed still.. they then have your GPA calculated...don't read too much into it. Some people who got in didn't actually receive theirs
  15. people get in all the time with uncompleted pre reqs...doesnt seem to be an issue
  16. I can tell you they don't interview... truthfully we don't really know... there are lots of theories, but really who knows... what we do know is HESI scores and GPA make a difference, but they take a wide range and your grades and HESI could be high and people with lower might get in. It's a pretty diverse student group at the school, so that might be taken into account, but who knows. When you apply you put your work history on the application, but whether they even look, I don't know. I'm afraid its hard to give feedback on this question because its not publicly known all the criteria that get taken into account. There is a theory that above a certain point you become eligible and then its random, but I don't think that's actually the case personally. don't be worried its normal, they do one and send it to you... I got one myself and am in the program
  17. when you apply you get one sent...or may do, in the past people haven't always. People get accepted with or without them.
  18. Its included for the students, the shuttle goes there from the school and the cheapest parking lot if there at $40 a month
  19. No worries, the thing is things can always change from previous semesters as well, but I'm pretty sure that's how it will be.
  20. It doesn't work like that... so for example someone turned down their palce yesterday...someone will be offered that place... a friend of mine turned down his place last Spring due to family issues a few weeks before he was due to start. People get taken from the wait list after the 10 days because people still drop out or at least used to... things can always change.
  21. Your scores are good, there are some wild cards in the mix we don't know about... they aren't doing tours at the moment I'm afraid due to COVID. Your HESI is going to be a key thing as well.
  22. yes people get accepted before finishing pre-reqs and there are scholarships, but a limited number
  23. I think it's done I'm afraid, wait list went out, obviously I'm not involved in the process but based on how it usually works.. hang in there, there are loads of great programs, don't give up!
  24. so back when that was posted there were 80 people that were in a group chat...
  25. it can happen... did you join the cohort facebook page?
