  1. Hello! I'm a pediatric nurse with over a year and a half of peds experience on a acute care/ IMC floor. I'm transferring in two weeks to our PICU full time, and I'm very excited! I loved critical care in nursing school but have fallen off with some of that knowledge since working on my busy med surg floor. Any advice from PICU nurses on what I should be reviewing (meds, diagnoses, procedures, interventions) before my start date? I have floated there a few times and know my PICU is cardiac and respiratory heavy, with a mass amount of heart surgeries we'll be getting in the next few months. Thanks!!
  2. If anyone got accepted into the peds primary care or dual acute and primary care let me know if you wanna connect!! I know we’re a small group, I put down my deposit so I’m committed! I’d love to chat :)
  3. Is this from your BSN? I did a second degree and had a 3.5 but my first bachelors was around that as well. I’d say if it’s your BSN GPA to just make a stellar application and see what happens!!
  4. I didn’t get mine until 530 denver time today so I think 730 eastern time. I received an email about the scholarship earlier today
  5. Congrats everyone! I got my acceptance today for the 4 year pediatric dual primary and acute care!! I’m so excited, did anyone get any info about scholarship?
  6. I heard in the next two weeks still they’ll have decisions out
  7. I didn’t think they were but not in wondering if that could be. I’m so anxious to hear back, I really hope it’s still this week.
  8. It sounded like they would start going through them so who knows I feel like we will start hearing back but it could be anytime between now and a week or two from now! You applied to peds right? Are you a peds nurse?
  9. No ? I’m getting so anxious but don’t want to follow up and be too eager. I know my interviewer said starting today they’d be looking at it quickly. I wish it was today!
  10. Got mine Thursday!! I had soreness in that arm for two days which I largely blame myself for, for not taking Tylenol before like I usually do IM shots. No other side effects and u had a bad reaction to the flu this year and usually get atleast fatigue. We also were asked to stay for 15 minutes atleast after to observe haven’t heard of anyone having weird side effects yet!! It’s so exciting ?
  11. Did she say this is for the dual track and primary only track all together?
  12. I was told they’ll start making decisions starting the 22nd!
  13. Thank you! @wahusky2008 I hope we all get in! Hopefully if we do well all have those first semester classes together
  14. Tomorrow is!! I have an interview in the morning, I might be the last one ? night shift problems
  15. I got it but I haven’t interviewed yet ?
  16. Oh awesome!! Did they say only in mail format or will we get an email update on acceptance?
  17. I’m not sure if this applies to primary too but I talked to a. Current student in the dual program and there’s only 4 of them but they are in year 3 so it might be more now! That was the first cohort of that program
  18. Yeah I am interviewing the last day next Friday because I work all the other days. I’m dual acute/primary peds so IDK where I’ll fit into acceptances with ped primary care.
  19. Has anyone heard yet after interview? Just getting an idea whether they’re waiting to interview everyone early first
  20. How did it go?? Did they ask about peds experience? When did they say they would let you know post interview? I’m hoping to hear in the next week or so if I have one! Fingers crossed.
