Hi all, I completed nursing school last December and passed my NCLEX in January. I then waited a few weeks and still noticed I didn't have a license, I reached out to my board and discovered I had an investigator due to me being arrested in 2022. I submitted all the required paperwork, police reports, essay etc. I still am waiting for word from my investigator. There are people who've taken their NCLEX after me with previous arrests who already have their license. I was arrested for assault and the charges were dismissed and I was sent home the following day. Does anyone know if it's normal to wait 7 months for a license? Presumably even more? Im being told I need to get a lawyer, that I need to drive to the board, file complaints. I just don't know, I feel so disheartened about it all and I wish I could just plead my case to somebody or have any information at all but I know absolutely nothing. When I reach out to my investigator it feels like they're annoyed with me and don't want to speak to me and don't provide me with an answer. Thank you for your response ahead of time.

have you guys by chance heard back from the people we were supposed to email our acceptance letters to? I haven't heard from her or the university rep I was supposed to email right after.

Stay positive guys, you've got this. I feel like significantly less people applied, your chances are great. Just check every few hours don't get too caught up!

Go to your maricopa log in where you pay and sign up for classes. On the left, click that drop down arrow, and click on advising notes. They probably left you that email as a note as opposed to an email.

They do these interactions so often and so frequently that they forget that we are completely independent of their experiences. What they consider obvious isn't even remotely obvious to us. Every school system I've been to has been like this, they leave people in the dark.

Even last year, the advisor for GCU's masters program at scottsdaleCC told me that of the 17 students that applied, all 17 got accepted. It's obviously not that simple but I see no reason for anyone to be terribly nervous this time around. It does annoy me a tad that there isn't simply a mass accept/decline email or call sent out. As opposed to this trickle down they do where certain people find out first, it gives people unneeded anxiety.

I had to submit my stuff through emails. I actually noticed I got a confirmation of submission but it was in my advising notes in our Maricopa thing. I can't imagine most of us won't get accepted everyone has great scores

Hi guys, wanted to drop in as well. I applied to GCU's masters and picked PCC and SCC as my choices. Just wanted to say I haven't heard anything yet, wasn't sure exactly how long things would take cause of COVID. I also never received any confirmation or anything which is somewhat frustrating, I'm not sure that will all the emails I sent that anyone actually even put in an app for me. GPA: Around 3.5 IDK because I took a few different classes than the required ones. IE English 105 at NAU counts as 101 and 102 joint so IDK. English: 93 Math: 90 Previous bachelor's so my score is somewhere in the 80's I'm sure.

Literally. I mean some of the questions I would consider being completely irrelevant to be frank. Blown away, really glad I took it honestly because once the accelerated deadlines open. I'll at least have an idea. I also thought the writing portion was really difficult but I've never been good with subject-object stuff. I've gotten A's in most every bio class I've taken and still that stuff was just like weird honestly. One of them I actually don't think had a right answer and I've tried to google it at home and I just am not getting any of the options they had.

Wow it was not what I expected at all. You were right it was extremely general biology to the point that it was stuff I'd forgotten from my first bio class years ago. Thankfully this was for the traditional program and I have a chance to actually study the correct information once I take the accelerated test. I was honestly shocked what they considered important? Hopefully I'll get em next time.

OKAY GUYS AUGUST 10TH UPDATE POST TEST The test is NOT anatomy or physiology. It is very very general bios, we're talking BIO 181 stuff, I even had a chemistry question, taxonomy questions, prokaryotes, eukaryotes, brain functions, I studied only anatomy and physiology so I was screwed. A few of the questions are very odd and I actually still believe one had no correct answer. However, every other portion that's not the science is very straightforward. If you have questions try and DM me personally, I took this as a test and plan to apply to the accelerated program now that I know what to study.

Hi, I was just wondering if you had any last minute tips you can remember? I take the exam tomorrow. I just am wondering like how in depth we're talking on the organ systems? Is it general things or should I like know all the cranial nerves for example? I wish there was more information. I guess I know it or I won't.

I've lived in Flag for a few years now too and I'd love to stay here. I just figure statistically there's probably less applicants to the Yuma campus and maybe somehow I could find someone to take my lease. And thank you so much for the kind words!

TAXONOMY? wow. curveball. thanks so much for the tip! I'll have to review that for sure it's been a few years. Overall though I think you did excellent honestly, I've heard of people a few years ago getting in with 85 overalls and up essentially. Guess it depends how everyone else does.

isn't that just frustrating? the counselor told me to study A and P only. But then everyone said it's only Physiology and now obviously you've had a test that wasn't just physiology. It's just silly. When you say not just physiology did you have anatomy or was it like out of left field stuff like physics?

For further background, I'm really not that motivated by school or life as a whole, I'm one of -those- people. I am essentially your average run of the mill dude with no fantastic talents of any kind and I've essentially half assed studying in every way possible because I'm expecting failure. So if I do well, then you know it's not that bad. If I do piss poor, then you'll know it's decently difficult. It's essentially impossible to find any information about the science portion of the test online of course so again, I'm just watching crash course videos on A&P as refreshers. Most of you guys have better GPAs and studying habits so I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. I will update on the 10th.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'm applying for the traditional program at Flagstaff and Yuma campus. My GPA is 3.70 on the nose and this will be my first time doing this stuff. I have a degree in Exercise Science so I may have taken a bit more classes than you younger guys applying to the same program, I've decided to study for the Kaplan by exclusively basically studying crash course videos. I will let you know how it goes and I just wanted to put my information out there for any future students. I take the Kaplan August 10th, so you guys will have an opportunity to see how this turns out for me and maybe you can do the same, cheers.
