  1. yesss he’s rlly helpful ?
  2. I dont remember exactly how long but it was around 3 weeks, almost a month. I remember applying around January 18 & had my interview on February 18th, but they had called me two weeks prior to that date to let me know I was selected.
  3. I wouldnt worry, just wait on the packet & it tells you what to do from there ? You do have to pay a deposit to hold your spot so if you haven’t gotten anything in a week, I’d call just to be save your spot.
  4. I had gotten the call to let me know, then the email on what to do next & weeks later a welcome package
  5. Yes, I dont remember how long it took but you get a folder with some paperwork for you to fill out & what to do next ?
  6. Hi @sonia1498,the Kaplan was not as hard as I expected. I used one of Kaplan's books to study, "Nursing School Entrance Exams Prep" & it really helped out a lot with the math portion, which is my weakest area but I did good in. Also, there is lots of physiology so review that. The interview & essay are a breeze to be honest, the essay is simple, doesnt have to be perfect & the interview is not longer than 5 minutes. Just to go off topic & answer their questions as best you can, they mainly ask about you. My interview was the 18th & I got accepted that same month on the 21st. Good luck & I hope this helped out!
  7. Hi, so their requirements like class wise you can see on their site. The GPA to get in is 3.0, I believe & yours sound really good. The interview is done the same day as the Kaplan. For the Kaplan it was on reading, writing (grammar), science (lots of A&P) and math (lots of fractions). I'm not the best in math but thats the subject I scored highest on, they provide you with a calculator that pops up on the screen. The A&P is very general, so I found it a bit tricky. I used the Kaplan nursing entrance exam book to study/review. Once they receive your application + transcripts, they do call to let you know they'll be processing it. I believe it was 2-3 weeks later that I got the call, letting me know I was selected for the interview. The interview is quick & simple. 2 people ask you questions about yourself so that they can get to know you & thats it. The worst part really is the wait. Also, you get your test scores right after you submit your test. I had my interview on a Tuesday & on Friday I got the acceptance call. I was skeptical also because of the price, but regardless girl nursing is expensive. So invest in a good program, nova or whatever your first choice is! Good luck!
  8. Hey guys so I applied to Nova's BSN program at the Kendall campus maybe 3 weeks ago & recently got a call to let me know that I was selected for an interview. Just wanted to start a thread for anyone else who is applying early like me or will be applying for the Fall program. If anyone has already done the interview, what questions were you asked? I hear it's mainly scenario questions. Also, what was the exam & essay like? Hope this helps someone out & thnx to whoever replies! ?
  9. Hey guys, I just wanted to ask for some tips when applying to Nova's BSN nursing program! Also, what is the required science gpa? I calculated it & I have a 3.3 but I am still missing human nutrition & if I get an A in it it'll go up to 3.45, so any thoughts? I am only nervous because in the two math classes I've taken I got C's so I'm not sure if they care so much about math classes. Also in A&P2 Lab, I got a D but when I retook it I got a C, although I've heard they don't care for retakes ? Let me know what you guys have been through when applying for their program, I'd greatly appreciate it!
  10. Thank you for the reply! ?
  11. Thanks for the reply! It helped out ?
  12. Hey by any chance do you know if its okay with them to have a C in Chem 1033 Lab...in the lecture I have a good grade, I’m just worried about my lab grade ? Let me know what you think, thanks.
