  1. Does anyone know why Immunotrax sends and email out weekly regarding a missed health requirement such as in my case the Hep B titer? My understanding was that the titer is not required before start of program only 1st and 2nd shot of the series Thanks!
  2. Yeah , Im confused too.. On the Health and Safety Checklist next to the drug screen it says, "Your drug screen must be cone within 24 hours of loggin onto corporate screening and must be completed by the deadline or you will be dropped from the nursing program"
  3. Do you recommend buying supplies/books now or waiting until at least vaccinations are submitted and reviewed?
  4. My understanding is that we will be able to get into immunotrax once we get our acemapp email which will be on nov 1st?
  5. Hi Larissa are you a fall or Winter start student?
  6. Has anyone received the email yet for the Nursing Central App?
  7. This is a forum for the incoming nursing students at MHCC. Please share any concerns, questions, tips for the admission process especially. Related to: Topics covered during Orientation Nursing Handbook Immunizations/drug test/background check/CPR
  8. Hi Jeweliana ? I believe both schools are in partnership with OCNE so the curriculum would be the same. I would also look at the NCLEX pass rate for each school. This is not an indicator that you would pass the exam or that the faculty is better at one school, but I know this may be important to some people. I would also look into the clinical location options you may have. In Portland/Gresham area you may have the opportunity to have clinicals at more I guess urban areas. It depends on what you are looking for, do you want to work in an urban or rural area?
  9. I'm not sure. I would assume that they will answer question like that during our orientation.
  10. I just got acceptance letter today too! I am Winter term. Anyone else Winter TERM?
  11. I think I did well too, but like you I don't want to get my hopes up. It was kind of nerve racking only having 2 1/2 minutes to answer your 2 questions. I don't think I did well on the essay though.
  12. How did everyone think they did on the Essay and Interview? (FOR MHCC)
  13. Top 66-72 applicants are accepted into the program (30-32 Fall and 36-40 Winter). Next 40-45 applicants are placed onto an alternate list. (NEVERMIND)
  14. Do you know how many applicants and alternates they take a year? My understanding is 62-77(?) spots in the program.
  15. I'm not sure if this accurate. Because I just got an email from LBCC stating how many alternates they have taken in previous years. But, I think we will see some movement if people give up their alternate status! THIS IS FROM LBCC if any one is interested. ****This year we received 220 qualified applications. There are 56 seats in the 2020 cohort so 56 qualified applicants have been offered, and the remaining qualified applicants have been assigned Alternate numbers. The number of alternates who might be contacted prior to the start of Fall 2020 is not something we can predict as that varies from year to year. I am able to share information from the three prior cohorts for comparison purposes: In 2019 one (1) alternate was contacted to fill a seat which had been declined by another student; in 2018 we contacted 12 alternates to fill vacated seats, and in 2017 there were 11 alternates who were contacted to fill vacated seats.****
  16. WOW!!, lets hope they meant #12. Are you from the Albany area? I know students from the linn county area get preference. I was #22...a little discouraging.
  17. I am still waiting for MHCC, but that will probably be in early June. I am also on the waitlist for LBCC. What number are you on the alternate list of LBCC?
  18. Did you email specify that you were in the top 15 alternate list? I just got an email stating I was an alternate.
  19. I hope there's movement too. This pandemic has really changed the Nursing Program application process and I am sure it will change the program layout as well. Thanks for replying! Me too!
  20. This forum is for MHCC applicants of 2020. Share your experience, questions or insight! Thanks. How did everyone think they did on the interview and essay?
  21. Just got my alternate email. I know the previous emails have stated how many applicants they chose each year, but this one did not. I am assuming it is like other years (15). Its really frustrating that they don't tell us our placement on the alternate list. Are you able to share your acceptance email? Did they specify by what date they will need to turn in the Statement of intent to enroll? CONGRATS ON GETTING IN!
  22. This is a collective forum for all pre-nursing students who have applied to nursing programs throughout Oregon. This can be used to update others on your application status, share tips for specific school interviews/essays/exams and share points (if comfortable).
  23. MRA posted a topic in Oregon Nursing
Has anyone heard of when Chemeketa will be posting the nursing application requirements for 2020-2021?
