Your CM wouldn't allow a LPN? My paperwork just says professional nurse has to be present. I had an interview Friday and she said she would be calling me this week after my background check comes back. I have a clean criminal record so I'm begging and praying To my higher power that this works out. ???

Rnagain1, your story is so inspiring. I have not worked as an RN since 2013. I recently got my license back active and unrestricted. I have a diversion and patient neglect on my BON record. I'm applying for jobs left and right praying that someone gives me a chance. Your story gives me hope. ? hopefully I will be working as an RN soon.

Same here! We will get through it! That's what I keep telling myself. I thought it would be the perfect time to get a job with covid-19 mess but I was mistaken. I'm holding out hope that the right employer will come along for me and I hope that for you as well. Hang in there!

Good luck with the interview. What kind of job did your case manager not approve you for? I haven't applied to any home health I just assumed that would be off limits.

This is messing with my head so bad. It's such a punch in the stomach. A friend and old coworker pretty much had a job in the bag for me but I still haven't heard from them and I just looked and that position is no longer on the website. It's only been a week of me searching and it's been the worse. I am so desperate and willing to do anything but I cant find anyone to take a chance on me. I just hope it gets easier.

I'm finally able to practice nursing after being out for 6 years. I'm on a 2 year probation with my BON with stipulations on passing narcotics and a public view of all my mistakes. A fellow old coworker told me her LTC facility was desperately hiring and she even told them I was coming in to put in an application and seemed to be OK with it. I was hoping to get an interview on the spot so I could fight for a position and convince them that I'm worth taking a chance on. The DON was in a meeting and the HR lady told me she would give me a call to set up a interview. And I haven't heard anything. I'm starting to feel like this is going to be a needle in a haystack. Prior to me leaving nursing I only had 2 jobs. One I left on good terms and one I was fired from and reported to the BON. I guess I'm looking for some postive comments saying that you have found a job with a public BON record. I'm so desperate to get back to nursing I'm willing to work for free to show my worth! ??‍♀️

Does anyone know of any online nurse na/aa meetings? I've found a few NA meetings but would love to attend meetings for just health professionals.
