  1. Same here, and also kind of surprised! Poured my heart, soul, and many hours of my life into that application but everything is FINE.?? Best of luck to you all!!
  2. Thank you!! If anyone gets an interview or hears anything back, please write in here so at least we know something is happening haha. ????
  3. @kgirl98 congrats!!!! There is a Facebook group if you want to join it: UM ABSN 2020
  4. Congrats to all of you accepted!!!!
  5. Hi everyone on the thread who started in Spring 2019!!! I hope you’re all enjoying the program so far. I have been accepted to start in the Spring 2020 cohort, and was wondering if any of you could please shed some light on your schedule for this year (dates for your finals/class schedule/anything?) I just would like to get an idea in my head. Thank you in advance!!!
  6. @Mr.lucky1I believe the group is private so you would need to be added by her
  7. @erose29 ok great, thanks! Just private messaged you my name and prof pic info. ? Let me know if you have an issue finding it
  8. @erose29 I believe I read somewhere that orientation is like a week before classses start, but I’m not sure when classes actually begin. Side note - has anyone made a FB group yet? If so, let me know. ?
  9. @Jana725 congrats to you too!! I ended up finding another page on here just called “University of Miami 2020” where people are talking about our cohort, if you want to check that one out lol. Someone mentioned possibly making a fb page for those accepted
  10. @Jana725 I got my acceptance letter yesterday (6/21) as well!
  11. @Racheldud fingers crossed for you!!!! And to everyone else waiting for a response. I know the hardest part is playing the waiting game, but things will fall in to place one way or another. Despite what school, the end goal remains the same - becoming a nurse!! Some other schools in Florida should be opening their application periods up sometime soon for Spring 2020 (FSU, for example). Doesn’t hurt to add some eggs to your basket just in case!!!
  12. @Shem10 thank you!!! I just signed on to canelink and it said I had 1 message in my message center. I didn’t get an email or anything
  13. I just got accepted!!!!!!!!!!! Wahoooooo
  14. @Mr.lucky1 It seems like it all depends on when the committee meets to make a decision/send out acceptances. Thankfully (in our case) it seems that only one batch has been sent acceptance letters considering no one else has posted on this thread about being accepted after that one time in May. That’s what I’m hoping, haha. Congrats btw @erose29 !! Hopefully we will catch up to ya soon. ??
  15. I have a side note question for anyone who has been accepted. What was the last communication UM had with you before offering acceptance? I got the “your application has been received” email from the Assistant Dean, but some people have mentioned UM notifying them that their application is now under review? Should I be expecting another email?
  16. @csrnurse I assume only one batch has gone out based off of the previous comments on here. And the advisor told me ~80 are accepted actually, so a good amount.
  17. @shem10 welp, now I am stressed because my application is “complete” and should be in this batch, but I’ve heard nothing at all! Haha. The anxietyyyyy
  18. Does anyone know how they contact you when they make a decision on your application? Will they email an offer of admission or do I just need to keep (obsessively) checking canelink?
  19. That is a very vague email.. what does that even mean?! Haha. Keep us posted on what admissions says if you end up calling them for clarification.
  20. Does it mention why the application is on hold? Could it be that nursingcas just hasn’t verified your transcripts yet?
  21. Hi! I also applied for the Spring 2020 term and am waiting to hear back. I applied toward the end of May and my application just got marked as “complete” last week. Hoping to hear something soon!
  22. Hi! I haven’t been able to find a page for University of Miami’s ABSN Spring 2020 application cycle, so I thought I’d start one for those applying to support one another and provide personal insight! Has anyone applied yet/heard anything back? Fingers crossed for all of you!
