  1. ASU has a select GPA system, so you get to pick some of the classes factored into the advancement score with your TEAS score. My select GPA was 3.87 and TEAS I think was 84? I don't remember my exact score ah. I did have to commit to ASU before knowing if I got in though. Some of the classes are their health prereqs, so I took a risk in applying. They do offer several cohorts throughout the year. You can do an accelerated pathway as an undergrad, which is 1.5 years.
  2. I say go for it! I was in the same boat and decided to move to Phoenix for ASU. Not going to lie, the out-of-state tuition is expensive, but in my experience, worth every cent. The program was phenomenal, and I felt fully prepared for the trasition from student nurse to bedside. They have great clinical experience opportunities at Mayo Clinic and Phoenix Childrens. My only advice is get your prereqs done at a CC before moving. Also, consider the city you'll be living in and look into the hospitals in the surrounding areas. My only regret is not moving back to California postgrad, the pay is unmatched there, and the cost of living is about the same now in Arizona.
  3. Has anyone had trouble getting in contact with their pre-boarding coordinator? I never got a reply from mine after sending my license number, and I haven't been able to get ahold of her on the phone the last couple of days. Did you guys receive an email when the background check was completed and cleared? I had someone contact me because they couldn't reach an old workplace. I sent my W2 and just want to make sure everything is in the clear since it is almost our start date.
  4. I believe any brand, as long as they're navy. Here is the link I found online: https://cdn.prod-carehubs.net/n1/5c7278cac6946b78/uploads/2018/08/Mayo-Clinic-Dress-Code-UPDATED.pdf
  5. You can either do 2 skin TB tests, which would require you to go back for twice to have them read. They will also give you the option to have a TB titer done, which is just one lab draw.
  6. I submitted my app on 11/27 and got my ATT on 12/26. I scheduled my NCLEX for feb 3rd?
  7. I got ortho med surg! I verbally accepted the offer, but havent received my official offer in writing. Congratulations everyone! Excited to be working alongside you guys throughout residency ?
  8. Just called back and it was to clarify that it was an offer! ? yay us!
  9. Just missed. another call from them, but I am in class haha.
  10. I was told interviews were just finished and decisions were being made as well. If heretotakecare got an offer during this call, then I am going to assume I did not. I feel they would've informed us on this call, especially if they're informing others ?
  11. Yeah, same. I feel like they would've just offered the position in the initial call, so I am not feeling too confident. ?
  12. Im not sure how I feel! It was sort of vague, so don't want to get my hopes up!
  13. Just got a call from the nursing placement office saying that I should expect to receive a call from HR within a couple of weeks. Did anyone else get a call like this?
  14. This was my first interview experience, so I did not know what to expect! I was so nervous, haha, but I am glad the hard part is over! I rushed a little for the first scenario because I was so nervous, but I feel confident in my answers as well! If anything, I am glad I had this opportunity to get some practice for future interviews. I hope so too- The waiting period is the most dreadful! Ah, so close to being done! How exciting and congratulations ?
