Scripps New Grad RN January/March 2020
I received an offer letter this morning at 9:34 for SD Mercy 4th floor (medical/acute). I’m so sorry for the stress that anyone is experiencing while waiting to hear back- this was my third application cycle at scripps and I know very well how stressful this experience can be. Don’t give up hope!!

No problem! I know the wait can be so nerve-wracking. I didn’t interview with a specific unit, but with Mercy as a whole. They asked which unit I had a preference for which I think is hopefully a good sign! Definitely crossing my fingers. How did yours go? Did you interview with a specific unit? Sending positive vibes to you!

I am a SBFP CNA for Mercy and CV- My first 2 applications were for La Jolla but when I interviewed the first time, I hadn’t graduated or taken the NCLEX yet. The second time, I was licensed but I think I was turned down since none of the managers were familiar with me. This time, I am applying at Mercy as I work there and more people know me- I’ve had several managers (including mine) put in a good word so I am very hopeful that it works out! Good luck to you as well!!

I’m an internal candidate interviewing at Scripps Mercy (SD). This is my third application/interview for Scripps. I’ve been a CNA with Scripps for a year, and have 4 years of experience as a CNA. I passed my boards in July. Fingers crossed that this time I’m successful- it is highly competitive out there! Good luck to everyone who is interviewing!

Also trying to remain optimistic!! As a side note- I believe they were waiting to send declination emails until the dates of their next new grad application cycle were posted (which they are now, at least on the internal scripps site.) If you are sent a declination email, it will say that you are encouraged to apply again, and it will post the date of their next application cycle: The next cohorts will be 1/6/20-10/10/20 and 3/16/2020-12/19/2020. Both of these cohorts will have interview opportunities on 10/31 and 11/01, so keep an eye out if you aren’t given an offer this time. At least the next new grad cycle isn’t too far away.

I applied in the last cohort and got my follow-up email exactly 13 days after my interview, on Monday at 11:20 am (not that I'm hyper-focusing on this at all haha). 13 days after the interview would have been today, so I kind of expected the email to come through this afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow is the day we all hear back! Idk about all of you, but my nerves can't hold much longer. ??

@MSNRN123 The last time I interviewed with Scripps, they didn’t ask for any follow up information after the interview. They just sent offers/declinations from that point, almost exactly two weeks after the interview. I included my letters of rec/references in my portfolio, and left a copy behind for them.

Good luck to you both! I interviewed on Tuesday for the La Jolla DEU (dedicated education unit.) I interviewed with Maria and Trang. I am really nervous... I don't know what to think of how it went! (I think it went well but both interviewers were very poker-faced!) This is my second Scripps interview (I'm internal) so at this point I'm just hoping (HARD) for the best!

Scripps New Grad RN OCT19-JUL20
Hi everybody! I am an internal candidate, and just received my interview invitation today for the New Grad DEU floor for La Jolla on July 30th. I am crossing my fingers SO HARD, as this will be my second application/interview/interview process with Scripps. I applied to their last new grad cycle (the one that starts in August) and unfortunately I was not chosen after my interview (I was also an internal candidate when I applied the first time.) At that time, I hadn't yet graduated and I wasn't licensed. I am really hoping that now that I have graduated (May 20th) and am licensed as an RN (as of July 1st) I will have a shot at getting accepted! It's so competitive out there. Crossing my fingers for all of us!

Palomar New Grad RN Summer 2019
I haven’t been able to find a thread started on this topic yet, so I thought I’d get the ball rolling! I applied to Escondido CA’s Palomar Hospital new grad RN program a few days ago (I believe May 15th?) and have yet to hear anything back. I submitted 6 applications to various available units. Their application stated that we would hear something in 3 business days. Let me know what you hear/ if you also applied!

My friend from my nursing cohort and I are both CNAs in the float pool at Scripps. We both interviewed for La Jolla DOU and we both interviewed with Othello. We both were rejected this afternoon. I’m so disappointed, trying to figure out how to improve myself for the next application cycle. I felt so confident that my interview went well, but apparently I missed the mark in some way. I’m so disheartened.
