Hello all! I'm interviewing for Monte's ED PRN and need to pass a specialty exam. Any tips on this test on things I should brush up on? Thanks

right so if you got nike sneakers they'd have to be like all white air forces for example because the swoosh is white also. I just got plain white dickies scrubs for clinicals

Get plain white pants not too fitted not too many pockets etc. Some clinical professors are stricter about uniforms than others and you will have multiple clinical profs throughout the year Also stock up on white long sleeve shirts to go under your white scrubs. Some won't let you wear the blue jacket with your clinical uniform. And black/navy long sleeves under the blue scrubs

I bought 3 sets of both the white and navy uniforms . I bought my shoes from DSW. The nurse mates adela. I never saw anyone with the nurse bag. however it's helpful to have a separate bag for clinical if you can. I hated repacking my one bag for clinical and classroom

Passing is 70 for all exams as well as for the classes. If you fail a class you're out of the program. The math is medication math, infusion time, drop factor, reconstitution. But the math teacher is great and she eases you into it

You have five exams per class per trimester. One midterm one Final. (Semester one the final was one exam with 200 questions that covered the entire semesters work) Each exam is 50 questions multiple choice even the math but you receive a school issues calculator and scrap paper. You will also have a clinical midterm and a clinical final exam Now that we are online the tests are administered on an online platform and you have to keep your webcam on for the duration of the exam to deter cheaters.

The online learning has definitely been an adjustment as nothing was ever put in place to make this program online before us but we're rolling with the punches. Exams are done on video camera.Clinicals are done with patient simulations which are pretty challenging but I do miss the real life experience. Time management is EVERYTHING in this program. This week we have 3 exams and in two weeks we will have midterms which will be 4 exams. Do not forget your passpoint assignments as they can either make or break you.

Current student here. I wouldn't waste money on the test review if you haven't been out of school too long. Just practice adding/subtracting fractions and decimals and you should be fine. The math isn't hard but if you don't move quickly it can mess you up.

i lost my job this month. Trying to look at it as a blessing, I'll be able to focus on school. But I'm super excited for orientation tomorrow

i know they're giving us a kindle but i most likely wont use that since i also use my ipad which is larger in screen size for more than just school. I'll just put the ebook codes into my ipad

i went school supply shopping the other day. it's starting to get real smh. I'm also considering buying an ipad with more storage since we're doing ebooks

how many sets of uniforms is everyone getting? so far i have 2 of each color top and two navy pants. Maybe 3 of each set?
