  1. Did you end up accepting your offer?
  2. Did you apply for midwifery?
  3. Do you know if the waitlist is ranked? With Yale it is unranked and if a position becomes available they reassess the whole waitlist.
  4. Did anyone apply to ABSN-DNP midwifery? I didn’t really expect to get an interview but I also didn’t anticipate the radio silence I’ve received...
  5. Waitlisted for CNM!
  6. Right? I feel like they could just give up on the portal and send out emails or letters!
  7. I would looooove to know if they will send out mailed decisions though.
  8. I agree. They would get a lot fewer phone calls if they could just tell us a date rather than giving a different answer every time. I wouldn't even mind if they said it was going to be next Friday, as long as I had a definitive date.
  9. Same. Walking as many dogs as I can to pass the time
  10. When I interviewed they said "around Feb 15" but I guess Feb 14 is technically mid-Feb so it could theoretically be anytime starting today. With that having been the case in years past, the hype is up.
  11. Regardless of what happens today, I can assure you all that I will be buying discounted V-day candy tomorrow. As I future nurse, I would recommend this same treatment plan to everyone here.
  12. Me! Do you have more of a clue than me as to the timing of things? Hah, I feel totally in the dark!
  13. I like to think that they're giving the "by the latest" date and that in reality it will be sometime sooner ?
  14. ^^upvote but for WHNP/CNM
  15. I was unfortunately rejected from UPENN but something that really appealed to me about their program was the fact that it has an actual ABSN and not just a pre-specialty year. That definitely leaves for more flexibility if ever there was an interest in a switch in specialty. Not to mention UPENN puts a strong emphasis on taking a break between the BSN and masters and gaining experience as an RN, which I thought was unique. Most people take a break between the two, as I understand it. So that's something to consider.
  16. I applied pre-specialty for midwifery and FNP! I graduated in 2014 with a degree in biology. Worked in a neuroscience research lab for the last 4 years and towards the end was part time while completing my prerequisite courses. Really hoping for good news from Vandy this week. It sounds like the decisions for dual degree will be made separately for each specialty. So the acceptance could be CNM/FNP, CNM, or FNP. or.. neither haha
  17. me too! what did y'all apply for?
  18. Hi VwBee89! I applied pre-specialty for dual focus midwifery and FNP. So, the interviewer I had been in touch with was for midwifery, as there are no FNP interviews. I applied before Nov 1 and interviewed with her back in early December.
  19. I touched base with my interviewer today and she said keep an eye out for an admissions decision in 7-10 days!
  20. Rejected from ABSN. Congratulations to everyone who was accepted or waitlisted and good luck making decisions!
  21. Oh gosh! That would be fantastic. I hope that's true. Thanks for checking in with FC!
  22. Hi, I also just got accepted but into their FNP program and have been hoping for more information! Thanks for starting this thread. I hope someone tunes in!
  23. Was anyone else told early February for an admissions decision? The wait since November has been brutal!! Hoping just another week more..
  24. I took microbiology with lab through University of New England. It was pretty expensive but I found it worth it because it was flexible and go at your own pace.
  25. My MSN specialty was midwifery. When they switched me they emailed saying they would not proceed with my specialty but, if I was interested, would proceed with the ABSN and schedule an interview for that. I agreed, filled out a form for my availability, and less than a week later they sent a follow up email to schedule the date.
