  1. I have had very little luck finding any information about past acceptance rates, or write ups from anyone who has been accepted. Does anyone have any insight into the selection process for the WC ED NP Residency at NYP? I finished my application yesterday. I only have 2 years RN experience, all of which have been in the ED, but I am 35 with other degrees, and I finished my MSN (FNP) in August 2022. Any insight at all would be helpful....
  2. They have been saying all NPs will be required to have a doctorate for about a decade now. I truly don’t think they will force any NPs to get a doctorate. Just like the CRNAs are now all doctoral level, all the working CRNAs were grandfathered in. And yes, they will accept you conditionally (the condition being successful completion of your BSN and passing your NCLEX). I don’t NOT recommend this program, but I also don’t think it’s better than any other.
  3. That’s if you just do the DNP. If you do the BSN-DNP that requirement is waived.
  4. I applied to the program halfway through my ABSN. I did not have my RN prior to applying. I graduated Aug 7th and started on August 25th, took my NCLEX on Aug 27th. I don’t recommend doing this, it was extremely stressful. I had no experience as an RN when I applied. I did not have to interview and was directly accepted. As far as tips, make yourself and your intentions known to faculty, attend any DNP info sessions and ask good questions, and get at least a 3.5 GPA. Have you considered the MSN? I am leaving the DNP because, honestly, I don’t feel I need a doctorate since I want to be in practice and don’t want to teach at the graduate level.
  5. You have to wait until you get the email from them to try. Also, you should change your card info. Did you get your results? I hope you passed!
  6. Right, but my application was totally complete aside from the school list on June 12. So when I called the BON, and I asked specifically citing the above situation and I was told 3-4 business days. I’m really looking for help with scheduling as it pertains to Accommodations such as separate room testing and extra time. Do you have any experience with this?
  7. Has anyone had any RECENT experience scheduling an NCLEX with accommodations? I have read some horror stories on reddit saying it took months to even receive a call back to schedule. Since my school cannot offer any advice on this matter I am turning to my allnurses community. OK, today is Aug 10. I was told our School list would be sent to the FL BON by Aug 14. The FL BON advised that it is taking 3-4 business days to process School Lists, therefore an ATT should be coming by Aug 20. I am starting a DNP program on Aug 24, and must have my license in hand by Oct 22. Further, I was offered my *Dream Job* as a nurse resident, and they require a license by Sep 19. If anyone has any information on this, I would be forever grateful!
  8. Hi fellow Nurisng school grads. So here’s my situation. I got into a DNP FNP program and got my dream job in the ED while in my last semester of Nurisng school. Now both my job and my program need me to have a license by a October. Since I graduate this week (August 7) I have to wait however long (in FL) to get my ATT. My issue is that I am scared ******* I’m going to fail the NCLEX and get kicked out of my program and dismissed from my job. So, I’ve heard a lot of great stuff about Mark Klimek. I was wondering if the audio is just as good as the live classes? Anybody do a live class? I’ve also been doing UWorld since April and have done one Kaplan CAT (it let me take 191 out of 265 so I’m not feeling super confident). Any advice is appreciated!
  9. Hmmm. You can always look up if they have an active license I guess.
  10. No, No, and No LOL. Pinning for 2018, why would you need that?
  11. So, I emailed Carlos on Wednesday about this and have heard nothing...anyone else have input?
  12. I’ve spoken with this guy in the program on Instagram a lot! He says he loves it, he’s very responsive on DMs: https://instagram.com/ryansstudies?igshid=632i3cz1l18f All the programs I applied to (UCF, USF, FSU, and UF) find preceptors for you. So I’m confused as to why this keeps coming up in all the threads. Can you clarify if you have different information?
  13. Is anyone deciding between schools? I am trying to decide between USF and UF. Thoughts?
  14. I’m in! BSN-DNP FNP! Woop woop!
  15. I was waitlisted and I still have a full semester left, I graduate in August
