  1. Just got my acceptance call for my first choice Texas Health Harris Methodist. Congrats to all who were accepted ? Good luck to all who are waiting ??
  2. If profile doesn't really have any identifiers/ you're comfortable sharing can you please share clinical site please ? Congrats to you both on your acceptances ?
  3. ? same feels. Walked away feeling good to now questioning everything down to how I pronounced my name (OK maybe the pronunciation of my name was a stretch ?)
  4. Thank you so much! Some questions we both had to answer, others were tailored due to the difference in our experience. Good luck to you for your interview
  5. I interviewed today as well. It was about 30-40 minutes maybe.
  6. Did anyone get email confirmation from school that their completed application was received?
  7. Once you upload everything that's it. Status should change to completed
  8. Wow thanks for sharing this. My scores were sent since March and they also weren't linked ti my application until now that I've called.
  9. They sent me a new link since I let them know I never actually began the process.
  10. My application was verified but I did not receive an email requesting payment of supplemental fee as most programs would notify. At this point I wonder if it would be received and processed on time with application deadline being two days away. NursingCas does automatically send all info.
  11. did the school reach out regarding supplemental fees or did you guys just mail check/money order?
  12. yep that sounds correct. you have 10 days form date requested to complete it.
  13. You have to apply for private loans on your own. All private loans (incl Sallie Mae) are done seperately (no connection to FAFSA)
  14. Also, some people may have Clinicals Wednesday afternoon, Friday or even Saturday. Books are expensive if you’re purchasing to keep but there are options that are significantly cheaper such as renting through amazon. Some things are unavoidable such as having to purchase PrepU for Pharmacology which was $150 (Everything online— book, assignments, practice quizzes) and SafeMedicate for dosage calculations ($100). Scrubs are purchased through Meridys. School will provide that information for purchasing when the time comes. In this Spring cohort, we wear our scrubs all the time because of lab being on both Monday and Thursday. Scrubs with school logo (purchased through Meridys) must be worm to clinicals. Cheaper scrubs may be worn on non-clinical days to lab. Our first semester is classes are Fundamentals (Lec, Lab) Health Assessment (Lec, Lab, Sim) Pharmacology (Lec, Lab (online—dosage calculation) Clinicals Just as @OsiriaRose mentioned, this is simply our experience. With this being a newer program, things can very well change as they learn and grow.
  15. I REALLY think they take a holistic approach. My cumulative GPA was just below the minimum requirement at 2.9. To be very honest I didn't take school very seriously. I think what made my application packet strong was: -my pre-req grades, (mostly A-) -I can confidently say my essay and letter of recommendation were pretty damn good. -the year of volunteer experience I had So, don't let the GPA worry you too much. Your experience can definitely win them over as well as your essay and LOR
  16. I originally applied to College of New Rochelle for Fall 2019. I received official notice the school had closed down and figured I'd be applying to schools all over again. During mid-August, I got a call while on vacation (in the canyons at that) that I was accepted to Mercy College (application was automatically sent to Mercy as CNR merged). I was happy but at the same time bummed I couldn't begin in the fall as I certainly wasn't prepared to start school the following week. I too ended up paying my deposit to defer to Spring 2020. Good luck to the current applicants awaiting a response
  17. I've heard back as well and will be attending the Tuesday interview session at 3 pm. Good luck to those interviewing and those awaiting a response!
