As hard as it is to let this person go, please do it for the sake of the other hard-working nurses who would suffer needlessly with this nurse's incompetence. You are doing your unit a favor and ultimately, this nurse as well who needs to consider a different setting. Best of luck to you!

I, too, work on an inpatient psychiatric unit within a larger hospital and we have Cerner EHR. We do PAPER treatment plans with social workers and occupational therapists able to be part of our multidisciplinary treatment plan on day 2. I HATE IT! I have pushed my manager to go digital and we have explored that, but so far it's still paper. I am sort of relieved that I'm not the only one working for a hospital that is sort of backwards, but I'd love to find better answers. We still handwrite out the SAME nursing interventions per patient per treatment plan. It is a colossal waste of time when we have digital options available.

I purchased 5 ExamEdge practice tests and found that many of them were very similar to the questions on the psychiatric RN test. It was a helpful "study guide" and was only about $55.

I had the exact same situation this past year. I applied in August and had to ask my school in January to resend it. Now that I know it is definitely a problem with the BRN computer system, et al, then I might need to ask my school to send the transcription verification signature form to me directly. The BRN already got my transcripts....

I am interested in working in the public health department of my county. I live in CA as well but the BRN has taken 5+ months to process my application. Their website does not upload my documents - even though I've tried multiple times.I know we're in the midst of COVID, so I've been patient, but yeesh! I finally got the email of my evaluator and emailed him my application directly but am still waiting almost a week later...
