Stanford RN New Grad Program October 2020
I would say the interviews are pretty on point to what K's email depicts. I think for all there are 3 other candidates and then a unit manager from each unit with the interview being "moderated" by an educator of some sort. The managers briefly introduce themselves and then there are 4 questions, each candidate rotates going first, you'll each answer the same questions. There wasn't any time for questions in my first interview. The second interviews varied A LOT from unit to unit, so don't psych yourself out. (Some people had clinical scenarios, some didn't have any, some were in depth- one candidate with the managers, some were very similar to the first interview- 4 candidates with the managers, etc).

Stanford RN New Grad Program October 2020
I just want to give a little insight to the interview process! Last cohort, it seemed like the majority of interview invites were sent out within a week and then there were some people who didn't get an interview offer until like 1 week before interviews. In these cases, these people got an offer to their second choice specialty (ie put ICU first, got an interview invite for surg). The first interview will be for all the units of the "specialty" you're interviewing under. Ex. if you're interviewing under "Medical" you will interview with the 8(close to this #) Medical units and then would be called for a second interview with one specific unit if you make it through. There are many more Medical and Surgical units than ICU and Oncology units, so more people will interview for those, and more will be hired onto those units.

El Camino Hospital New Grad Residency Spring 2020
Hey all, I had an interview Monday, 3/9 (not sure it went all that well...). Has anyone heard back from the recruiter or know how many spots are available? She said I'd hear at the beginning of this week. I'm anxiously waiting, but also know they must be busy with COVID19.

Samuel Merritt ABSN Summer 2019
Wanida, I am in ABSN in San Mateo and you need a physical within 6 months of starting the program. They give more information at Kick off and they don’t REALLY need it until before clinicals. But best to get it out of the way. I went to my PCP and she just put “did not check” for genetalia and it seems to have been just fine.

Samuel Merritt ABSN - Spring 2019
Sorry to all that got denied I wish you the best for the April start for San Mateo or June for the others. I was accepted to the San Mateo program and I hope my stats help you for next cycle. Last 60 GPA - ~3.35 Science Prereq - 4.0 HESI - 98% I had an full-time summer internship in an ED when I was in college and now I have been working as a Youth Director. My passion is working with youth and kids(hopefully pediatric nurse of some type), so maybe that looked good that I had experience with the age range? I got two letters of rec from A&P professors that I knew pretty well. I had two classes in progress when I submitted, but I updated my NursingCAS with those grades by August. Good luck to you all in the future!!

Samuel Merritt ABSN - Spring 2019
I'm in at ABSN San Mateo!! I got an acceptance email at 7 AM PST and a preliminary financial aid package email at 7:40 AM PST, but no email about access instructions for my login. Anyone else that's been accepted still waiting on the login email?
