I got accepted to County as well, so now I'm deciding between Rio Hondo vs County... Does anyone know about County's service payback option? Like will we get placed at a hospital after graduation and getting our nursing license?

LA County's acceptance emails have already been sent out. Does anyone know if County guarantees a job with one of their hospitals if we sign the service payback option?

@rachelchen I hope your funding theory is correct, lol, but their pool stats from Spring 2018 did say that they had 223 qualified alternates (-.-), so who knows... but I don't think I'll hold my breath @itmett Thanks for letting us know! Did you and your friend get accepted? And did your friend hear that from the nursing dept? I think I saw around ~10 ppl here who said that they were accepted by the school and then there was not a lot of ppl in the FB page so I assumed that CSULB sent out the top ~30 acceptances first... but since hearing that the acceptances email were already sent out, I'm probably wrong lol

Thanks so much Annie for you advice, I ended up calling the dept and she told me that I'm on the waiting list (#25 lol -.-)... I just hoped that they notified me earlier along with everyone else so I didn't have to call and find out this way She also mentioned that MAYBE tomorrow the school will send out emails regarding the alternates but she didn't sound 100% sure Lastly, I know that they tell us how to calculate our points on the website, but I feel like this year was a bit weird because it seems like some people with lower(?) points were accepted and some people with higher points(?) were wait listed, is it just me or people just calculated their points wrong? lol

I have a question, my application status has not changed so far it still says that my application has been forwarded to the nursing dept for review. I have not received a rejection, waitlist, or acceptance email, is anyone else in the same situation? I'm wondering if i should call them because it feels like I fell through the cracks or something

Also, they take your first passing grade (which is C or better) on a required course if that clears things up

You're a 2nd bachelor's, right? Based on last year's thread, 2nd bachelors seemed to be notified later, like they didn't get 1st pick if that makes sense.

Where did you guys find the points breakdown? I want to see how many points I have but it seems like the page got taken down?

Yes I know, haha, but I was talking about if going to the mandatory meeting would mean that I'm officially committing myself to Rio Hondo, since I applied to other schools as well and haven't heard back from them yet. But Rio Hondo is giving us so little time to consider since we have to reply by tomorrow

That's a great score! Hopefully they'll send out the actual emails tomorrow morning. If you call them, I feel like at worst they'll just tell you that they can't reveal that info

9.16 or 9.17 for me depending if they round or not, so I may just be an alternate, lol. I also factored in +/- into my score Does anyone know if we need to bring a single 2x2 photo or can we just bring our passports? @Lydia28 the school's web page has a section on how to calculate your score, but if you're still unsure you can post your stats and we'll try to help?
