  1. Nothing about any of this is fair. They will take advantage of the cash any way they can I’m sorry you’re going through this.
  2. How do y’all do it, aside from giving first urine of the day? That isn’t an option for me at this time because I am busting as soon as my eyes open. Hoping to train myself. But, if I go as soon as I wake up, and test 2 hours later, you think eating a tablespoon of peanut butter would be sufficient? Random, I know lol
  3. Last question- do you use affinity? Do you know how to petition for a closer site?
  4. What is the specialty urine test? I haven’t heard of this yet.
  5. Just out of curiosity, how many specialty tests have you had vs how long you’ve been in the programs? Also- has anyone successfully presented a closer testing site? The closest one to me is 30 min away and someone in my AA meeting said that you can send in a letter requesting a closer site? Thanks!
  6. Finally started my IOP after a long drawn out mess. Starting the UDS and all of their glory and I am certain I will regret saying this later but I'm actually excited to get it started! Anyway, after reading about all the false positive horror stories, wondering if anyone has made it without a single scare. I would love to, dare I say, get an early release, so want to cross my T's and dot my I's. Any tips? Thank you all for your honesty and transparency. It is really appreciated!
  7. Yes, my license is unencumbered. I don't plan on applying until at least next year so I can get used to this program but was curious if it would even be an option. Thanks for the info.
  8. First, how many of y'all were able to apply to complete your program early and actually granted early release? second, with these programs, has anyone been able to apply and go to NP school while in the program? I know most schools won't accept you on probation but wondered about the alternative programs? Thanks! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
  9. I won't enlighten you with my initial response as I read this. Instead, I will state that I'm here, trying to figure this out with minimal information from every party involved in my situation and only asked here because this site has provided me a great deal of information thus far. Thanks for your insight.
  10. I would be more than willing to drive, and have searched for a place within a few hours of my home. The only place local to me doesn't seem the most ethical. I just hadn't seen on here where anyone mention moving states to do an IOP, but perhaps that may be the only option. I am not working until the IOP is done so- I have time to drive. Thanks for your response.
  11. To an IOP? I hadn't seen anyone having to move states for a class a few hours a week. That's crazy!
  12. My area only has one IOP place and they are coming back, questioning my eval recommendations from the board approved facility I went to- or maybe I'm just reading it wrong due to the high level of paranoia I've acquired the last year. They just seem to want to rape my wallet with the little funds it has left after not working lately. I will go there if it's my only option but would love to at least be able to look into somewhere else and compare the two. Anyway, I've asked for recommendations from the person handling my care at the BON and they don't have any. I can't be released back to work until I complete the IOP and I can't find anywhere. Are there hidden places I don't know about? My torture has only just begun and I'm already ready to just say piss on it.
  13. Man, that was rough! Thanks for the infk
  14. I believe my BON requires the eval recommendation to be complete before returning to work but I see a lot of people on here say they were released after x weeks but before their IOP is complete. Do you have any insight there? And who knows, this place may require I go longer, no idea yet since the eval place didn't set it.
  15. Ok, thank you for cleaning that up! I guess I was confused thinking people on here that mentioned being there 8 hours a day were in IOP. I didn't realize there was a partial hospitalization scenario. Thanks again
