I am wanting to become a neonatologist. What bachelor do I need to start my schooling in the right direction? And what sort of medical schools should I be looking at for the future?

Why would I think ultrasounding would be any part of a pediatric requirement ? Hmmmm maybe cause your dealing with the body and pregnancies? Maybe cause you need to know the development of the fetus?You don't have to be so rude. And there is a bachelors in it. I already know what school I'm going to for it. That wasn't my question. As for med school. I'm fully aware that I need to go to med school. -_- That question was how can I find a school where I can become a neonatologist? Like specific med schools.

Sorry that part was confusing. I want to do something other than nursing for the next seven or so years while I go through school. I need something that pays good while I go to medical school. I originally wanted to be a radiology technician but did not get into the program for this year however I also applied for the RN and got accepted. Now for the university I want to attend for my bachelors has an ultrasounding degree or sonography. But I need an associates in radiology. So I'm trying to see if a bachelors in sonography will get me anywhere no where I want to be. Which is a neonatologist people! I'm not an idiot. . I came here because I'm trying to get some answers. As for the other people, Neonatology is what I want to do. Not a nurse practitioner or anything else. Just neonatology.

I know there's not a bachelors in neonatology? That why I'm asking if getting a bachelors in ultrasounding could count as my bachelors degree prior to med school because I need a bachelors degree in the field of pediatrics. That all my advisor said was getting a degree in pediatrics so all I'm asking is if ultrasounding is in that category.....

Uhhh I know what a neonatologist is.....my questions were does getting a degree in ultrasounding count as my bachelors degree because I need a bachelors in pediatrics first...second question was how do I find a med school that I can further my education. I am in the RN program now at a community college....are you saying that I'd have to go to a college that's specifically for nursing? And who can I talk to to find schools around me?

With the research I found it said a bachelor degree in pediatrics i was planning on doing ultrasounding. I am going to school in Idaho but will go to Weber State in Utah. But I wasn't sure if ultrasound for sure counted as pediatrics so that's good to know. My next thing is knowing where to go for med school.

I'm wanting to do the RN program without doing the LPN first, I have my CNA but here that its difficult to do without the LPN. any advice?

Ok so I have two days left on my job. There have been two girls that have been bullying me and trying to get me to quit early. And today they were able too. Now I also had surgery earlier this week and should not even be working. So it took a lot to get me to this point. I called my boss and told her everything. I was still at work but was just in my car for privacy. After I explained everything she claimed that she'd have to put job abandonment on my record....so I told her if I finished my shift out today would you still have to put that and she said no because we got someone to cover my shift. But if I finish out the schedule then I'd be fine. I feel like that she is threatening me to get me to stay. I did not abandon my job. We got that shift to be covered. How big is this?
