Columbus State University - Fall 2019
We will hear on or before March 8th. I signed up last semestar but didnt get in. Majority of the applicants heard the day of deadline on acceptance or rejection. Your GPA is excellent, should get accepted. Mine is on the lower side, they declined me for spring.

They send me an excel. It has a breakdown of all the costs. I would post it if I knew how. Total estimated about 21k, including the obvious stuff like tuition, books, and all the minor details like name badges, lab coats, etc.

Columbus State University FNP Spring 2019
"Students beginning in the spring semester are considered part-time. Currently, we only offer full-time admission in the fall semester. However, our "early admit" spring students graduate at the same time as our full-time fall admits. The students who are admitted early in the spring take the majority of the didactic courses prior to beginning clinicals, while the fall full-time students work the didactic courses in alongside clinicals." There is no FT or PT on the application, it just depends on what time of year you are signing up. If you sign up by the Oct 15th deadline, then you start in following spring and will be PT. If you sign up by the Feb 15th deadline, you will start in Fall and you will be FT. They both graduate at the same time. So those that are getting acceptance letters are all in the same boat as us, there is no PT/FT difference at this time. I am still waiting for a response :/

They emailed me a few weeks ago an estimated price for the whole program, and on there the typhoon software was $80, the certified backgrounds (I guess this is the castlebranch you're asking about) is $125, and the personal liability insurance says approximately $387.

Dear Student, Thank you for applying to Columbus State University's Family Nurse Practitioner Program for the Spring 2019 Cohort. If you are receiving this email, it means that your application packet has been sent to the Graduate Nursing Department for consideration. All decisions will be made by 15 November, and you will be notified by email if you have been accepted or not. If you do not have a personal email on your MyCSU account, please make sure to add one, otherwise all communications will be sent to your CSU email. ..and so, the waiting begins. Good luck to all!

Columbus State University FNP Spring 2019
This was one of the questions I asked, and she emailed back that it varies, but usually 250+ applicants for about 50 seats.

Mine is 3.08 overall. Yours? My BSN only GPA is probably between 3.75-4.00. Nursing school ruined my GPA unfortunately. Hopefully they look at the BSN classes alone :) No, just this one. I am not too desperate to get into NP school, I can wait if anything. How about you?
-
Columbus State University FNP Spring 2019
How's your GPA looking? Do they look at BSN courses GPA or your whole GPA with pre-reqs and nursing as well? My overall is pretty down there with the 3.00 requirement, and Im pretty nervous :/

Looks like no thread started for CSU FNP's Spring 2019 semestar. Let's get one running. Anyone else signing up? I submitted my final paperwork today. Do you know if it is a rolling admission process, or they wait until the deadline to start reviewing applications?

Just passed AANP FNP August 2018
Congrats! Is the exam similar to NCLEX where if you get one wrong, it will give you more questions in the topic that you got it wrong in? Is it similar to that of NCLEX where it can shut off at a certain number (75) if you're doing very good or very bad, or take you up to the 300's if they're not convinced?

Hey all, I am trying to get in for the Spring 2019 early start semester. What was your overall GPA's when you got accepted? I'm reading other forums that have 3.50-4.00 GPAs and getting kind of nervous. I am pretty close to their 3.00 minimum requirement, and am getting nervous. Also how are the exams done? You do them at home from the computer, or you have to go to a proctored building elsewhere? Do you do clinicals once a week? From what I understand there are 5 different semesters where we have to find a preceptor. All 5 of these preceptors need to be different? Thank you!
