Very well written and supported SunCity! ABC's definitely! It doesn't seem that some people are taking their education and/or personal responsibilities very seriously.

It's true. I am naive. But I'm also responsible enough to know that if I have two kids and don't want another I can easily prevent it (aside from obvious). If abortion is simply an option for birth control as has been suggested, then I should basically be able to get rid of any of my children whenever they become inconvenient. No one should be able tell me what to do with any of my stuff ever. Ridiculous. I know. But life means very little to some people. Especially if it creates an incovenience. No one can say an organism with a heartbeat is not a life in some capacity. Should it matter how old the organism is? And guess what? It is legal to euthanize in some countries. Gone too far? Uh no. that's just today. In a few years I'm sure people will be calling for that to be legal in the US as well if not already. And some states will likely allow (CA, NY). Where does anybody draw the line? After all if life isn't precious in the womb why would it matter outside. Especially if a kid with Pallister-Killian syndrome becomes a burdon. Some people think I'd be doing her a favor. I've heard that many times. I believe if people knew the details regarding certain specific cases practically everyone would support abortion or euthanasia under the right circumstances with full disclosure and the individual in the right mind to make the decision appropriate for themselves/family and of course if it's legal. It's very clear that many people don't care about knowing the true legal implications or the law and clearly haven't read the details of the ruling. The Fed government basically said they are out of the business of telling women what to do with their bodies since the constitution doesn't mention it. So it goes to the states and there is not one state that doesn't allow for an abortion if the life of the mother is in jeopardy. Not one. So if the ectopic pregnancy is threating the mother and she chooses to abort with her doctor. It's perfectly legal. Two completely different topics that people consistantly confuse.

Women can still have abortions and access to abortions without interference. They just have to go to the areas that allow it. It's simply a matter of law - or lack of law to be more accurate. There's no constitutional protection because it's simply not in the constitution regardless of how someone feels about it. With that there is still plenty of opportunity to have access to these options. It just won't be as convenient. But why should it have to be convenient? It may be a necessary procedure, but it should definitely not be looked at in the same category as typical birth control. Aside from the obvious rape situation there are many ways to avoid getting pregnant.

I ran out of time and none of the music courses I took, even though I was playing real instruments, are considered "Texas Core" so they won't satisfy the Creative Arts requirement. As much as I love to learn new things and have always tried to take classes that matter to me - I need a 3hr class in this category I can bang out ASAP. Does anyone know of a CLEP like or online/distance learning course that will satisfy the Texas Core Creative Arts criteria?

Please do not leave your former employer high and dry. They hired you and have trusted you. I don't care how good the new job is. This is more about you than it is anything else and word can get around that you're not dependable. If you made a commitment - stick to it and your new boss will, more than anything, appreciate your loyalty. Sometimes when I hire someone and ask when they can start and they say, "right away", even though their resume displays that they're currently employed elsewhere, I will not hire them on that basis alone. Just give them a heads up. Two weeks flies by. Who knows? They may be cool and say it's okay to be released that same day you tell them. It boils down to the Golden Rule.
