The George Washington University (GW) - Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - 2025
Hi everyone, It looks like the application window for Fall 2025 is still open for GWU DNP-FNP track. Looking to see if anyone is currently in the program now and can provide their insight of their experience with this school. Love to hear some feedback if any, specifically the classes, clinical, professors, etc. Best, red

GA BON License for Endorsement (in-state) 2022
I didn't get any response, however I got the fingerprinting email from GA BON 4 days after I've submitted all of my application materials since that is what it says on the application. I finally got my license posted on the website as of this week - and it took about 3 weeks (24 business days) to get everything approved. When I called the GA BON, they said that they are approved during their Board meetings which is why it's important to get all the documents completed before submission. Also some tips - I never bothered checking the status of my application because by the time I logged in to my account, my license got posted and the app status no longer is available.

SCRIPPS New Grad RN Residency (August/October 2022)
Well, what's weird to me too is that I just got an interview with them for their Summer cohort two weeks ago (7/5). A day later after that, the supervisor offered me the job with the start date of 8/1 but HR didn't send me the offer until 7/8. HR then told me you have 24 hours to respond because of the timing of your start date and get all the onboarding within two weeks. I was like, well, I would still have to find an apartment - get settled, etc.. It's so disorganized! Additionally, I have a feeling that I was probably not their first choice in the beginning since the majority of the folks for the Summer cohort have received offers in early or mid June. What sucks is that I disclosed to them that my license for endorsement is still pending in CA for weeks since I went to school from out of state but I'm a CA native and moving back. But then they rescinded the offer and said "yeah we can't do that..." just reapply next year. I was like, "what about the October cohort?" They said no we are already full....And I tried to justify that I have a compact license it's just still pending and also applied for an interim license from the BRN which is also pending. I don't know I would probably avoid this place at all cost - I've done a lot of digging since and then and found out they have a huge nurse turnover recently (at least in the unit that I applied for). It's upsetting because I wanted to work for Scripps but oh well, they are not the only good hospital in CA. And also the pay is not the greatest for the cost of living in SD.

GA BON License for Endorsement (in-state) 2022
Hi everyone, I am a new graduate who just moved to GA a couple of weeks ago. I am a single-state RN licensed from another state and just submitted my license for endorsement application materials this week for the GA Board of Nursing. My question is what is the typical time frame for getting endorsed in GA especially if you now live in the state? I have not submitted my fingerprint/background yet because the application form states that I have to wait for an approval from the Board after submitting the fingerprint/background application form. Should I wait to hear back from the BON or should I just get my fingerprinting scheduled anyway since I already paid for it and get it done? I have a job lined up as a new grad and I am nervous with the time frame as I have read nightmares in other posts about people's experiences in getting endorsed in GA. I would like to get some advice, tips and thoughts for those who have gone through this process especially those folks whom relocated recently to the state of GA. Thank you for your feedback!

SCRIPPS New Grad RN Residency (August/October 2022)
Hi all, I received a call from the recruiter this morning inviting me for an interview. I am assuming some folks have declined as I am probably a 2nd choice or so. Anyway, I wanted to reach to those who interviewed for the position to share their insights on what the interview process looks like. Additionally, after the interview, how long did you wait before an offer was made? Finally, does anyone know what the nursing residency process is like with Scripps and what the starting pay is? Just curious... Thanks everyone!

ATL Summer 2022 Residency
Congratulations! Yay! Yeah, they are a bit on a slow side. I'm still waiting for them to schedule my physical. They just finished processing my HR paperwork and background. They told me they are finalizing everyone's paperwork and not to worry. Are you from ATL or from out of state?

ATL Summer 2022 Residency
Yes this happened to me when I received the offer months ago. The ones that we applied for are the general requisition - once you receive and accept the offer they will tie in your application to a specific requisition to the unit that you've applied for. This will be your portal to do your paperwork, background screening, etc. Are you starting in the Fall or Summer cohort? Which unit are you going? Have you taken your NCLEX? And which campus? I am excited to start as I've truly enjoyed my shadowing experience in the unit.

Loma Linda New Grad RN August 2022 Cohort
Congratulations! Are you going to take the position? I'm surprised that is pretty low I guess. But still a great opportunity being in a trauma hospital. Which unit did you apply for? I was invited for an interview in their Psych units and was supposed to be scheduled last week. They asked me if I was interested in both inpatient and outpatient but 24 hours later after giving it careful thought, I emailed them back and respectfully declined... Best of luck to your journey at LLU...

Out of curiosity, how much are the new grads make at LLU? I was invited to an interview for them but ended up canceling it after finding out about the 3 year commitment.

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
My status hasn't changed. It's still under 'review' - I am wondering if they are going to be extending their deadline past 6/10. Does anyone know from prior cohort?

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
OK y'all! I just got an email from HR this afternoon and they told me that they are currently extending the offer by unit and the process could take up to until next week or two. They also told me that this is also why some folks are getting theirs sooner rather than later because it is very department specific. Some managers are just great keeping up with their timeline extending offers soon and some are a waiting game. Let us all not lose hope and hope for a better outcome. ?

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
Yes I would like to know as well! Mine still says "In Review" and has not changed since my interview with them. I'm crossing my fingers that we all get an offer - that would be amazing!

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
Is anyone else applying elsewhere or have gotten offers other than UCLA? if so, if you get a call, would you still consider UCLA? I have a couple of offers from out of state and I'm kind of just waiting to see if I get an offer here. I will have to tell them ASAP. ?

Hi there, Have you received your HireRight background screening info? I was told their system only is able to do it 60 days before your start date. I'm assuming you are starting in July/August?

May I ask which unit did you specify as your top choice? I got the video interview completed and waiting to hear back from the recruiter to be invited from hiring manager interview. I am getting anxious as I was told the process could take from 2-4 weeks depending on the department.

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
I interviewed last week! There is another group that is interviewing next week. HR told me that they are going to start making offers end of May or beginning of June. I would say don't lose hope as I know they are still scheduling interviews for both locations: Raegan and Santa Monica.

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
I think we are all anticipating an update soon. However, based on the email that I received from HR, it sounded like they are all going to compile it all at once and will start making offers to those who are selected in each unit. I think this is why each department have different timelines of interviews. However, it sounded like they are still need to make sure that their selection is completed by the date posted on their site which is like 6/10 or earlier. If you notice, some folks got interview as early as beginning of May. Does anyone know when the Summer Cohort starts? When I asked how many are going to be offered for this cohort, they didn't say how many but varies by department.

UCLA New Grad Residency Summer 2022
When I spoke with HR, I was told that interviews are currently ongoing and some of the applicants have already been contacted but they are department specific. Mine still says in-review but that's really a good sign and you will likely get an interview invitation.

Has anyone heard from them about their process? I was also invited to do the interview and completed it. I am hoping it's sufficient but 5 mins is not a long time to tell them all about you. ?
