  1. After all this trouble....still no blue card. I just can't catch a break. It was sent on the 20th of April and I been watching the mail like a hawk. Knew it was a postcard so was careful to look. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) wont respond. I am at my wits end. It's one thing after another. Hope everyone else is having better luck!
  2. Rectopain = pain in my butt
  3. I would really prefer to shove this up your entitled nose but it's against health regulations!!
  4. 1. All family members believe they are the doctor. 2. Pray daily. 3. Selflessness. 4. There is really only 24 hours in day. 5. You can't save everyone!
  5. Yes Lawd! Mrs. Smith is being discharged!!!!
  6. that they are in ICU yet able to push the call button!
  7. FYI to all it is now working.
  8. My complaint is not about the program. It's with Collin in general as there are always issues with my registration. I get the pin issue... but thanks for the update as I hadn't gotten a response.
  9. I have gone to Collin off and on taking all my basics for associates degree and towards BSN since 2010 and they have always been unorganized or make things difficult. I got the okay to register for classes and cougar had some type of time restriction hold on it. They couldn't figure out why so I had to fill out an add form and send to them so they could manually put in my classes. Then I get the certified background link and they have my social security number incorrect so now have to wait until they fix that. It's frustrating because every semester there is an issue and it's always on their end! I will be glad to just make it to the first day of class and get all this over with! Don't get me wrong the education is great but the administrative side needs much improvement.
  10. Yes was glad to see that email finally for certified background. Wow you got uniforms already I ordered mines Friday so guessing it will be here soon. That's a big difference from 3 to 4 weeks!
  11. Yes I have done all those things plus ordered my planner and rolling backpack, pen light, watch etc. All set just waiting on Cathleen at this point. I won't order my books until my financial aid post on May 2nd. Luckily I took Spring semester off so they pushed my aid to maymester. I rather order from somewhere else and pay expedited fee will still save $100s instead of ordering from school.
  12. Thank you so much!! Also are we waiting on the code for certified background check or did I miss something?
  13. I am definitely overwhelmed... tried to see if anyone would mention from allnurses I did but no one responded. Hopefully can put faces to names on here soon. I still don't quite understand when to wear what. SO you are saying scrubs every day and on the days we go to class we can wear any colored scrubs or all white. That part threw me off.
  14. You would have to speak to the financial aid advisor to see... mines had other circumstances so they were able to push it through. Officially excited about orientation tomorrow!!!
  15. Well never mind financial aid said I am covered for summer so yayyy! Thanks for all the info lady!
  16. Do you have to purchase the bundle of books? I am asking because I got approved for financial aid but I am under the impression it wont be available until Fall. So that's a lot out of pocket especially considering I will be going part-time. Aside from that I am soooo excited and nervous at the same time lol!
  17. I was originally on this thread and glad to report I start the bridge program in May!! Yayyy I wanted to verify how the schedule is as I am attempting to negotiate hours with my job. If you can give me a general idea of the schedule that will help!
  18. I spoke to the clinical coordinator directly who is responsible for the coordination of immunizations and she said this is a new policy. On the sheet they gave us it says in black bold letters blood titers only and you must provide actual lab that illustrates positive immunity. Rule of nursing as I am an LVN already you always go by what is documented not by what is said. Since they gave us a paper that specifies this that is what I am going by. I recommend reviewing that sheet and verifying for yourself. Always better to be safe than sorry.
  19. Also if you have medical insurance verify if they will cover titers. Mines will and I have BCBS of TX. If so you can get your physical and titers done in one visit.
  20. No you do not have to have it by orientation but she suggested by class start in case you have to have the shots because if you do you will not have them done by clinicals if you don't get started asap. Now I am in the bridge program so for me clinicals will start pretty quickly per the clinical coordinator but if you are in the 2 year program I am not sure I would call and verify. Otherwise she said all these questions will be answered in Orientation and an account will be set up to tell you what you still need and when. So best bet is just wait till orientation because nothing is needed before then. And orienation is April 12th.
  21. FYI: I spoke with clinical coordinator and she said their new immunization policy requires you to get titers on everything just to be safe as most records we have will not be accepted. This way if you do show positive for certain ones and just low you will only need a booster shot and therefore can continue with classes/clinicals. Also you can not register until after orientation and a code will be provided to you to register. She stated this is stress free way to do it as once you are accepted it doesn't matter if you register the day before you already have a spot secured. And classes do start May 16th.
  22. I will definitely continue to work.
  23. Too awesome congrats to you both!!!
