  1. I’m not sure about the accelerated dosage. You might only need the last dose if it hasn’t been that long. 1st quarter our 1st class started at 7:30 so yes the schedule is 7:30-5. The schedule gets better after 1st quarter.
  2. Hi Kimberly, Congratulation on your acceptance!!! Most of immunization you should have from childhood! Hep B vaccine as long as you have the 1st dose you will be fine. If I recall clinical started 6 weeks after we started school 1st quarter by then you have to have them. Scrubs are 100.00 but you can buy you own and go have the school logo but on for cheaper. 1st quarter they give you all your book thereafter you’ll pay for your book. I recommend going amazon, I found my books at reasonable prices. I hope this helped!!!?
  3. Hello, Congratulations on your acceptance!!! I’m in the LVN program at Galen. I have one week left to go before I’m done but Galen is a really good school. The instructors there really want to see you succeed. It’s a fast pace program so it’s going to be challenging. So if you’re not good with prioritizing your time then you definitely need to work on it. Class times and schedules vary each quarter. 1st quarter the classes were super long but once you get to second quarter it doesn’t seem that bad. I wish you luck in you nursing journey ?
  4. Congratulations on your acceptance and on becoming a future nurse!!!
  5. I'm sorry I haven't, Have you tried contacting your advisor? You have to keep calling and sending emails unfortunately. Maybe you'll hear something soon since the September classes will start on 9/27
  6. Hello Gablegirl, Congratulations on your nursing journey!!!Yes I started in July!!!! Tomorrow's my finals for 1st quarter. I will say it's been very challenging but a great learning experience.
  7. The reading comprehension was a little challenging because it was like 6 to 8 passages long and I was trying to scheme through it but I found it helpful to purchase the pax practice test on NLN.org which is a link that Galen sends you before your exam and I feel it really helped me with the vocabulary and science sections and I also purchased a pax pn pre entrance exam book off of Amazon which I also found useful as well. I'm excited but nervous at the same time!
  8. Yes, I took the pax in April and when I had my enrollment appointment at the end of May I got my orientation date. Hopefully they will accept your pax score from your previous school.
  9. Hello Melodyyrainnn, Yes I need all the help I get and I definitely need to work on time management. Do you have to start completely over? Will you be attending orientation June 26?
  10. Hello Everyone, My name is Jonette and I will be attending Galen College of Nursing in San Antonio in July for LVN . I wanted to get some feed back from current or previous nursing students that has attended or currently attend here on what I can expect and some tips on how to be successful in the LVN program.
