I called and was told that they did pretty much pull any people off the waiting list they needed to already (based on deposits that were sent it), but there is the possibility that people could choose to give up their seats before classes start at which point additional people would be pulled off the waiting list.

I'd like to join this group!

Hey everyone! I took some prereqs in the Fall, sent my transcript to Boston College, and called twice to confirm that they received the transcript, which they said they did. However, on my application status page, they don't have the newest transcript posted. Since I called to verify twice, I'm sure that they have the transcript, but I wanted to know if anyone else was not having records on their application status page updated? I ask because I've either been denied or haven't heard back from all the other programs I've applied to (despite having been quite confident about my applications!) and am getting a little worried that the lack of update in the Boston application system means that I'm out of the running there as well. Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!

BlueJays2013, I would definitely rearrange your schedule for it. Even without interruptions, you might feel rushed what with it being during the lunch hour. Not that you will be! But just to be safe. I called earlier this week as I haven't received an interview yet and was told that decisions go out mid-February, and for PMHNP, the interview is required, but that interviews are still being conducted (though that doesn't mean that they're still being offered). Anyway, trying to keep it together these next few weeks and hope I get into one of the programs I applied to!

I got an email saying that I wouldn't be considered for the PMHNP program any longer. The email was brief and I did not receive an interview invitation. I was surprised to be honest- I was hoping for at least an interview. My GPA and GRE scores are high, and I have years of different clinical and volunteer experience and I think strong letters of rec. I guess there was something on my application they just didn't like :/ Hoping one of the other schools I applied to takes me!! Best of luck to everyone else still in the process!

Hi! I'm also applying, for the PMHNP route. My essay also reads like a narrative. I think doing so it fine, as long as within your narrative, you've answered the questions. It's hard sometimes to paint a picture of yourself of your passions by straight answering the questions or laundry listing things.

Hi! I'm interested in the Nurse Corps Scholarship and have been doing some research. I want to know if any PMHNPs had experience with this program? From what I've found thus far, the critical shortage facility needs to have an HPSA score of 14 or more, and employment with a critical shortage facility needs to begin within 9 months of graduating. Correct me if I'm wrong! My concern is with finding a PMHNP job in a critical shortage facility as a new grad, because finding a job as a new grad can be difficult and I don't know if I'll be able to find a PMHNP job in a critical shortage facility that soon. Many places require at least 1 year of experience. If anyone has any experience or information, I'd really appreciate to hear it. What does my repayment to the Nurse Corps program look like if I fail to find a facility? Thanks!
