  1. facebook group has been made! Just type in Mayo Clinic Phoenix Summer 2021 Nurse Residency to join ?
  2. I believe its $33 with a $6 differential for nights / weekends
  3. Hey all, sorry for the late response but I did recieve an offer in the ED! I'm not sure if its been done yet but I'd love to make a facebook group for the Phoenix Summer cohort. Congratulations to everyone who has received offers so far and I'm incredibly excited to start this residency program with you all. See you guys out west! ?
  4. Congratulations to you guys!! I haven't gotten any emails yet but keeping my fingers crossed!
  5. For those who did not get interviews, don’t give up! There’s always the next application period ? That’s strange, because I was told offers would be sent out around the first week of May and I interviewed on 4/12. I’m guessing the offer dates got pushed back as time went on. I’ve heard that Mayo is notorious for having an extremely long hiring process so it makes sense, but the suspense is starting to get to me haha
  6. Hey guys! Has anyone who has had an interview received an offer yet? I remember them saying that offers would be given out around the first week of May!
  7. Thank you! and yes it was! Be on the lookout for a 480 number from Phoenix, AZ
  8. Just got a call to interview!! ??
  9. Awesome, thank you!! I’m also from out of state looking to relocate to AZ. Mayo is my top choice but I applied to Banner Healths nurse Residency as a backup and was lucky enough to hear back from them to schedule an interview. Do you have any insight on Mayos interview process in terms of common questions asked, length of time, etc?
  10. That’s awesome, congratulations!! It’s pretty encouraging to hear that that they’re beginning to call, I’ve kept my phone on 24/7 to make sure I don’t miss anything from them LOL. Does your application still say under review or did you move on to step 3? Fingers crossed we get responses early next week! And thank you so much for the information as well.
  11. I personally haven't but I was told those locations are much less competitive than the Phoenix campus. So if Mayo is your dream hospital it wouldn't hurt to try!
  12. No, I'm actually from out of state! Looking to relocate to AZ after graduation ?
  13. Around 60 or so I believe! And we should get an email if we're chosen for an interview
  14. Applications are in review guys! Good luck and fingers crossed!! ??
  15. Hi guys, Thanks for starting this thread! Mayo Clinic AZ has been my dream ever since starting the ABSN program and I'm excited and nervous as well! Are you guys from out of state?

Hey OP, That’s very interesting to read. I feel like there are definitely a myriad of factors that are at play with this though. I’m currently a nursing student and I know personally, it took me a while time to be somewhat financially responsible, and I highly recommend people do so before becoming a nurse. In the case of new grads, I think the big pay increase from something like a PCT or CNA salary catches many off guard who are most likely not used to making this “much” money, causing inappropriate management of it. Nursing in general is a tough field and people want to be well compensated for their work and spend their money on things they enjoy and that reduce the stress of the Job. Unfortunately one of the first keys to financial responsibility is saving more than you spend, which is where I believe the issue lies. I highly recommend Dave Ramsey’s 7 baby steps to financial freedom to whomever is struggling with their finances. It’s a complete game changer!
  17. Absolutely, and congratulations!! I’m glad to hear that and happy for you! I feel like I’m preparing a bit early, but I’m from out of state and planning to relocate to Phoenix as soon as I graduate, so the more time I have to get ready the better.
  18. Hey everyone, I’m so sorry to hear that the Residency program for Summer 20’ has been cancelled due to Covid. I’ve been following this topic and I can only imagine how frustrating it must have felt to receive the news. I’m currently in an ABSN program set to graduate this time next year and I also have my heart set on Mayo Clinic AZ. As disheartening as it is, I pray you all receive offers for your dream jobs soon!
