  1. Hi! I graduated this Spring and my best advice is to stay on top of everything. Make sure you understand what you're learning. I found school to not be terribly hard but time consuming. It's good that you already know that your social life will change. Also knowing how you learn is key, visual, auditory learner, etc. Good luck with everything. It'll be here before you know it . Soon you'll look up and be a new grad!!
  2. Thank you for the replies. I keep telling myself it will get better with time. Best time to start during covid 19 ??
  3. Hi AN!I I posted a similar story in lpn corner. No replies. This is more seeking encouragement than question. I knew ltc would be difficult because I have a lot of cna experience. I just don't know how a fresh out of school lpn can handle the staggering workload. Feeling very overwhelmed . Experienced nurses how did you get past new nurse shock, especially in ltc. Thanks ? Oh btw, I am scheduled for NCLEX this Summer due to covid 19.
  4. Any LPNs or RNs ever work gpn or gn? Did you feel you had adequate orientation? Also I thought the facility was required to have an RN on the unit with you? I have to say I'm enjoying learning to prioritize with all those residents and huge med passes, but I also feel I'm drowning and a tad unsafe... Any advice would be appreciated thanks all!
