Hi delician! I am also wanting to be a CNM, and found Dignity Health the best match for my personality! I'm always hearing from other nurses that they are an amazing organization to work for. The only Dignity Health facility that hires new graduate nurses is St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in downtown Phoenix. I suggest visiting the career section of their website multiple times a week to check for openings that don't require 1+ year of acute care experience. I have yet to see a specific "New Graduate RN" position open on their site, however I see a "New Nurse Residency" tab so they may post openings there later this year. Here's a few tips I've learned from researching the heck out of them: 1). I know they like to hire people with previous experience at St. Joseph's, so I recommend volunteering for them in the meantime. That way you can get your foot in the door and also see if it's really where you want to work! 2). New graduates start at $25.50 with yearly raises and amazing healthcare! 3). Interview process involves submitting an online application, waiting about 2+ weeks, receiving a call from the unit manager to schedule an interview, and then interviewing on the unit with 2+ interviewers. Good luck with the rest of your schooling and future job search!
