  1. No official orders but I did get my RFO. Turned it in to the civilians that processess orders. Hopefully I get mine next week so I can start clearing. I'm suppose to go to the November class.
  2. Are you reserves now? You guys don't have something like an S2 or anything equivalent to check your status? Although I'm not sure if they can see what your recruiter sees... If he even sees anything! This whole process is just a lot of waiting in the dark.
  3. You had to apply for clearance when you already have one? Is this one supposed to be a more thorough investigation than what you already did?
  4. Congrats! Still waiting for orders. It's crazy that it takes so long to hear from HRC. Even my recruiter was asking if I heard anything. Man. That list though... I hope that your first duty station is fun, at least.
  5. It's great hearing about someone else's process since I can use that to get a general idea of how mine will go. My case is pretty similar to Ftr66T2018's. Here's a timeline of what mine was like: Jan 2018 - Spoke with AMEDD recruiter and we built my packet Feb (late) - recruiter submitted scroll March (mid) - board met March (late) - selected July (mid) - scroll came back July (late) - signed my contract for AD 66H Current - waiting Right now, my packet is sitting at HRC and I'm just waiting for the assignment officer to contact me so s/he can give me more information... At least, that's what my recruiter said is suppose to happen. I'm also waiting for DCC/BOLC/PCS orders. They'll probably make you take the OPAT when you go to MEPS so just familiarize yourself with it. I'm not sure if it's a pass or fail but it puts you in one of four categories based on your physical performance. I didn't have to take it since I am already in the service, but I believe the tests included: deadlift, seated power throw, standing long jump and the beep test. As far as the paperwork, they rush you to get them turned in, only to make you wait. My board was in mid March when my recruiter contacted me late January, so I had to get him all the papers ready by the end of February. There is that big board in October, but people are probably finishing up their packets now. Hopefully you can make it if you decide to apply, but there's so many paperwork involved. I was pretty much working non-stop to get things to my recruiter (official transcripts, license, background checks, army forms, etc). I think the worse part is the wait for scroll approval. It needs to be sent up to the Secretary of Defense to get approved and that can take 3-6 months. Although some lucky ones get it faster and some unlucky ones get it much later. Not sure how much different it is for someone applying for reserves. I did read that they have to complete an online portion before going to BOLC. There's some good older threads with some more info, but you'd probably have to dig a little bit to find them. Good luck on your application process and I hope things go well for you.
  6. Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I really was hoping for September but oh well. You mentioned that they were trying to contact you. Did you mean that your recruiter tried to call you or email and you just didn't have the opportunity to return it? Or was it some other person from HRC? I've been checking my military email and personal email, but I haven't received anything. It's been about a month since I signed my contract.
  7. When you say "commissioned" do you mean signing your contract or something else? I hope you hear from them. I'm in the same boat and just waiting for orders.
  8. Hello. When you spoke with your branch manager, was it one of the point of contacts posted on the HRC website? I'm waiting for an email from the 66H assignment manager (for the new LTs), but I am not sure if I should contact her first or just wait for her email. I don't want to be rude since it seems like the assignment manager changed recently, so this person might be catching up with work.
  9. I'm glad that you feel that way and I hope you enjoy your time in the military. Have fun being in Hawaii! I hope TAMC is a good experience for you. I'm about to leave Hawaii after I get my commissioning orders in. Hopefully it goes faster than waiting for my scroll and that I make it to the September class.
  10. If you don't mind answering, why were you not able to commission till March? Personal reason or is it because of the Army? Did you get to choose your duty station or at least did someone ask you what your top preferences were? Thanks and congratulations.
  11. What happened after you got your official scroll and how long did it take for you to get your official orders (dcc, bolc, first duty station) after you heard back from the recruiter?
  12. Hopefully you won't have to wait as long. I wonder if the waiting time is the same for all branches? I thought that Navy might be better. At least I've seen more information about people commissioning in the Navy (other forums) than I do for the Army. It's kind of hard to dig up anything related to Army Direct Commission that isn't 2-3 years old.
  13. Congratulations! I actually had to sign some security clearance papers recently. Hopefully that's not my issue. What kind of change did you have to do when your recruiter called you in? Thanks for keeping us posted. Wow. Is it because you're going reserves? It's crazy cause your process took awhile, didn't it? I thought maybe you'd get orders within 10 days after receiving a scroll.
  14. Whew. I'm not alone! I got accepted a month after you but my scroll got submitted earlier. I am also hoping to get into the September class. Judging from the people in this thread, there seems to be about an average of 5 - 6 month wait? Hopefully we see something this month or next. My recruiter doesn't really have a lot of info for me so it kinda feels discouraging. What did you mean by one part of the scroll? Like where it is during stage of approval?
