Leaving my New Grad ED Job at 6 months in?
I am a new grad in CA and im about 6 months into my ED job. I want to leave because I just find that im slow and always was told that I was slow during my preceptorship period. Some days I can manage and other days are just really busy and I drown. I don't want to take on the stress at the end of the day and I am an introverted person so having to talk to so many people a day is draining. I want to move within the company I work for and im right at the 6 moth mark where it would be possible. Would this look bad on my resume? I am still going to be with the company but just not in the ED. Please let me know what you guys think.

Pacific College ADN Sep 2023 Costa Mesa
Awesome! I am just complete a math class that I need and I should be good to go. What are you thinking of doing for financing? I am actually an Alternate at a local community college for the ADN program currently so I am waiting to hear from them if I get in or not. If I do I will have saved a lot of money not having to go to Pacific but Pacific is currently my back up.

Rio Hondo College Spring 2023 ADN Program
Did you ever get accepted? Would you say if I received an alternate acceptance email the day Rio sent out emails to the accepted students that I should be higher on the list? I know of some students who received an alternate status email a week after. I am just trying to gauge what my odds are of actually getting a spot but I am not feeling hopeful.

Did they tell you that you were accepted during the mandatory zoom meeting? I am in the same boat as you and I am hoping I have a good shot. I got my email as an alternate the very first day Rio started notifying accepted students and I heard that other alternates just got their email a week later so I am hoping that means I might be towards the top of the list.

Rio Hondo College Fall 2023 ADN program
Does anybody have any idea how many alternates Rio usually has? This is my first time being accepted as an Alternate and I am just not sure where I am at on the list. I know of one alternate that got her email yesterday and I got mine on the 16th does that mean I might be towards the top of the list?

How has the experience been? I have been an LVN for over a year now and my first job was a school nurse. It has been a great experience for me.

RN or PTA
I was also undecided but ulitametly decided to go or nursing. Even if you don't like bedside nursing like I assume I myself won't... there are so many setting and jobs you can get as a nurse. I start my lvn program next month and im excited. There is just more to do with nursing compared to the deadend job of a pta. Pta is great though, but if you are the type of person who always wants to level up, nursing is the better route. I feel if I chose to do pta, I will feel stuck and like im not doing enough in 10-20 years. I am going to watnt to earn more money and continue learing. You can get a managerial director position as a pta but its difficult becasue those spots are dominated by pt's. If you do land a director job, you will most likely be underpaid compared to PTs. RN's can do healthcare management, bedside, all the diff floors available at a hostpital, you can just be a med pass nurse, you can work at a school, be a teacher, work for a pharmaceutical company, work in health improvement management. Way more options to make more money and find something you really like to do.

Anyone attend or know about hacienda la puente rop lvn program?
Hello, im looking at private schools right now for LVN programs. I stubbled across your comment and I was intrigued so I googled the school and it seems awesome. How long did it take you to get into the program? I know they have a wait list and I spoke to a rep there and she said there is 1,000 students on the waitlist. Do you know how the students are selected into the program? I asked her but she did not give me a straight forward answer. Also, how long after you were selected into the program did the program actually start? Thak you for the info in advance!
