Yes I can't wait for orientation to get all our questions answered! My daughter was the same way! It's great they are rooting for us so hard! I keep telling myself we don't technically start classes/clinical until July so it's essentially a year! Lol

Fast track people- Just emailed about the acceptance form and got a reply that there was no form and sorry for the inconvenience, you just reply back yes or no to the email.

No breaks. I think the only 'break' we might get is this summer if it starts the way I'm understanding it does with us not really having classes in June. Then of course when the college is closed for winter break!

Ok cool. I may just email them if they don't send it by end of day. Yes, I'm so excited, happy, grateful, all thee above! Lol I can't wait until next week to find out when we start and all that! No, I never got on the fb page. I have fb but barely on it. Did someone start one just for fast track?

Congrats! I think we might just be taking those exams in May and then classes start in July. Not sure though. Did your email have the acceptance form attached? Mine does not.

Thank you UniqueUserName! Biritah I'm not sure the specifics of the ins requirement I just know we have to have it. I can't remember if it was this thread or a different one but I did read something about a company that offers basic coverage for students at a decent price. I can ask next week at orientation if they don't already bring it up. Anyone else from fast track get their letters??

Yes, last spring fast track found out a week before the reg track was suppose to but unfortunately the reg track found out a week late! The dates for letters last spring were, April 21st for fast track, reg track was suppose to find out April 28th, but got their emails may 5th. I'm so hoping you guys find out no later then end of next work week, April 27th!

Yes, they did go out today! I was accepted to the fast track! I'm so thankful! We have orientation next week. Since we found out a little earlier then last year did I'm hopeful the reg track will find out no later than the 29th. Hang in there guys. I know it's such a hard wait!

I think that would be really unprofessional for them to have us come to an orientation before knowing our acceptance. I think we will know before then. Staying positive!

Yea that's why I thought it was so strange. I was thinking, the ones that get accepted their email should say orientation is 'mandatory' not just "highly recommend" so they could have sent the orientation info with each applicants acceptance email, tailored to their type of acceptance. They are playing with our emotions! If we didn't get that email last week I'd have thought we would find out the 20th at the earliest. They need to tell us today!

Plus, I was averaging how many applications they could get through a day and even if 45 applied to fast track, it's been 9 full business days, that's 5 applications a day. That's doable. They should know! Lol I think I'm going crazy because I had a vivid dream lastnight that I woke up to our acceptance emails and it felt so real! I need a life! Lol

I'm giving it until the end of business day before I give up hope that we hear today! lol. I have not read on any other forums that they got an orientation email ahead of finding out their acceptance. I was thinking, why would they want the people who didn't get in at all to know when/where the orientation is! I sure would show up to it if I didn't get in like, "heyy, so are you going to let me in now!?" lol We technically start in May (got it clarified this week) so maybe they are trying to notify us sooner then last year. Last year they found out April 21st, but didn't have their orientation until May 4th and started May 15th. That's just under a 2 week time frame. If we have orientation April 24th, we should know today, if they want to give us the same time frame. Just under 2 weeks from acceptance emails to orientation date. If we don't hear anything today I feel it has to be next week because why would they have us go to orientation before finding out if we are in or not. That would be crazy. Praying end of day today!

I hope they are on time and fast track hears this week or next and reg track no later than the 29th! As soon as I hear anything I'll let you all know.

Did you apply for their eLine option? I hope you get in to one of them! It's great to apply to more than one program. Good luck to you as well!

I don't know but from what other classes have said it sounds like fast track will find out before regular track. My guess is the end of this week (Friday) or next Friday (20th). I'm not sure if it's because I'm hopeful but I just have a feeling it will be this week or next. Did you apply for fast track track?

The more I try to stay busy the more I drive myself crazy when I do have any downtime. I wish I had this cool, calm, collected attitude about this whole process but I feel like this has been a long time coming and I'm so ready for this next step. Some days I'm chill, telling myself it's God timing, but other days I question if I did enough to get in! Boy let me tell you about my patience! I put my app in Feb so I feel like I've been waiting forever lol 20 more days at the most!

Hey fast track peeps, did anyone else get an email this morning about when orientation is like I did? I thought it was strange cause it says they are still in the process of selection but they wanted to let us know when the orientation is and that it's "highly recommended" that we attend.

Oh you got a good class! I'm actually surprised that I'm finding these two courses interesting as well! Both my classes online are pretty easy. There is some reading from the book in history but my gov class I don't need a book. There are readings posted for each unit with videos and other links. We have 2 debates we have to write in gov. Only writing in history is on each test but it's a small portion of the test. I think there's 3 or 4 tests and a bunch of quizzes, about 1 weekly. I really enjoyed doing these online since I just got done doing the 2 science courses with labs the last semester on campus. It made for a nice break from a set schedule. I would def reccommend taking classes like this online. I'm going to take my summer courses online. I'm not sure if I'd take a literature class online or statistics since I'm bad in math. But definitely the history and gov can be taken online easily.

I'm taking history and gov online this semester. Thinking of signing up for the second of both of those for the summer.

I took Stacy also this past summer and he is awesome! I totally feel you on being frustrated with nursing schools and the whole process @kortneymccoy because I too had a similar experience with wasting time at a school that I ended up realizing was not where I wanted to get my degree from. Have you looked in weatherford? They do a point system and I work with a girl that had a C in her science course and got in. As long as you have enough points, it won't matter so much the C. They take the TEAS so you'd have to take that instead of the HESI but I'd recommend going onto their website and adding up your classes and seeing how many points you have and if it seems realistic for you that you have between 26-30 points with whatever TEAS score you think you can get I'd apply to them this summer for their spring start if you don't get into TCC because it may save you from having to do your sciences over. Just another option. Keep your head up and don't give up!

I definitely understand. It sure wasn't easy the first time! I applied to weatherford but didn't get in because they didn't accept my one psych class because it was an exam based and I didn't want to retake it until I see if I can get into TCC. I'm sorry to hear about el Centro. TCC is more convient anyway so I'm really hoping/praying it works out. I'm so glad the real countdown has started. Hopefully these next few weeks will fly by for all of us. I did see on a previous forum that it looked like the fast track got their emails a week before the reg track. I'm not getting my hopes up too much that we will find out early but it would be nice because we only have a month before we would start verses the 3 months the reg track has to prepare and make plans. I want to take my daughter on a trip before nursing school would start but can't plan anything yet until we know. Can't wait to find out!

Oh ok yea I saw that we test out of a few courses at first in order to move forward in the program but didn't read anything else about online theory. I've done a lot of online prior to this so I would actually prefer in class lectures just because I think I'd need the structure for nursing school but I wouldn't be totally opposed to it once I got more details on it.
