Stuck at the interview step for EB3
Hi! So all of my documents has been ready and done at the NVC since beginning of April 2021. I'm just waiting to be scheduled for my interview at the embassy in Sweden so I can immigrate to the US. Originally it should take 2-3 months.. Here I am at 7 months and counting. Is there anyone else in Sweden waiting for a EB3 interview? Or any other country that's stuck at this step? I know there's talk about waiving the interview for healthcare professionals to make us immigrate faster due to covid-19 anyone knows anything bout this and if so when it would possibly change?

Okay I see what your saying. Then I just need to figure out if the lawyer tells me is true. Because the lawyer yelled me that all healthcare professional that has an accepted I-140 skip the line and get an interview right away.

My thoughts are likewise. I should have contract with the employer first hand. Althought both company and lawyer says its alright as long as both employee (me) and employer has a contract with the law-firm. From my own research regarding time-frames. I've found this: " Your employer (with your help) completes a request for labor certification and sends it to DOL. The DOL's approval means it's confirming that no U.S. workers were available for the job and that you and your employer can go ahead with the process of applying for your green card. There's an exception to this requirement: A few types of jobs don't require labor certification, because they're on the Schedule A list of workers that are in short supply within the United States. Professional nurses and physical therapists have been on the Schedule A list for years." and "Registered nurses may enter the U.S. directly as a lawful permanent resident (LPR) or Green Card status. A benefit afforded to the nursing profession is that presently, the Petition for Alien Worker and U.S. Department of Labor classifies nursing as what is referred to as a "Schedule A" occupation. The advantage is that the oftentimes lengthy and expensive Labor Certification Process can be circumvented. LPR status also allows a nurse and his or her family to permanently reside in the U.S. through a sponsor after meeting certain requirements." So from my understanding, if I file with premium processing the process could take 3-6 months and then I'll be heading over to the US, and then after a few months in the US I'll get my GC. Premium processing means: You pay a fee and Premium Processing for I140 petitions is a service provided by the Department of Homeland Security (USCIS) that offers 15-day processing for certain employment-based petitions and applications. Haha, all this is so confusing, and since everyone says differently.. it's hard to know what to believe.. and it's actually quite a lot of money we're talking about I have to pay up.

Right. So you’d say that what the first law firm says sound reasonable? 3-6 months before heading to the US and then 3-6 months after begin in the US to get my official green card? Also, may I ask? Maybe you don’t know but you sound very experienced or knowledgeable. The company tells me I don’t need to sign a contract with them but only with the law firm? In the contract with the law firm it says they represent both me and the company for a schedule A - I-140 application.. maybe it’s just me feeling insecure by not having a contract with the job itself.

EB3 VISA processes USA
Hi! I’m from Sweden and I have a few questions about immigration and EB3 Visas. I’m a Swedish educated Registered Nurse, BSN. I’ve been working as a RN for the past 2,5 years in Sweden. I’m licensed to practice as a RN in the state of NY, and I hold a Temporary License in Pennsylvania (currently waiting for my permanent license to be issued). I’ve passed the NCLEX (obviously, since I have my US RN licenses), I’ve got my VISA-screen certificate (which also means I passed the IELTS-test). So basically from my knowledge, I have everything that is needed for an EB3. I have an employer in the state of Pennsylvania that wants to hire me. They referred me to a law firm 1 that told me if I pay for premium processing I'll be over in the US within 3-6 months. If not 12 months +. This law firm says I'll get my GC after a few months being in America. However I wanted to double-check this so I asked another law firm (2) about the process.. and that law firm (2) tells me that its impossible to get an EB3 visa within 3-6 months and then have a GC in your hand a few months after you move. That you need a H1B visa move to the US, work and during the time you work - approx 2 years then you get a GC. So I have two law firms stating different things.. and now I don't know what to do? I've got a contract that I can sign and they will file my petition etc.. however.. I wanna make sure I get the EB3 visa not the H1B.. haha I'm so confused...

Flying out to NYC for NCLEX
I did take the NCLEX and I'm now licensed in state of NY. Now I'm trying to endorse it to Pennsylvania which isn't the easiest without SSN and being out of the country to leave fingerprints etc...

Troubleshooting with CES-report
Hi! I have a few questions regarding my CES-report. So I did a CVS-report to get licensed in State of New York. It all went though and good, I got to sit the NCLEX exam, got my ATT - and last week I passed my NCLEX on my first try! Yay! ? So now I'm just waiting to get my license issued. However now to my concerns. I also ordered a CES-report from CGFNS. In my report the state that I lack clinical hours of Maternity and infant nursing - that I have 0 hours. However I've called and talked to my school about it, and they figured and realised that they just lumping hours together in another category. My CES-report is saying the thing that differs me from someone with American education is the lack of those hours. Now my concern is that even if I passed NCLEX and will be licensed in the state of New York I'll have a hard time to endorse my license to other states. Does anyone have experience of that? Can I contact CGFNS about this issue and try to update my CES report? Or is that just giving me trouble? Or Should I go through ERES with the correct information regarding the clinical hours to easier endorse my licensure to other states? What would you do in my situation?

Flying out to NYC for NCLEX
Thank you for motivating me! I saw the e-mail, thanks for the tip. I was in the low-range of passing. I will do the second assessment test this Tuesday when I get off work. My budget fits anything really, because I already invested so much time and money in this. But would you recommend the Saunders App for 40$ or should I buy two tests from NCSBN for 120$? Or get Kaplan as well? What should I study simultaneously with uWorld?

Flying out to NYC for NCLEX
I've been trying to look at my first assessment score, but I can't for the sake of god find it. I just have the general data of all my tests. I bought the uWorld and assessments before I had gotten my ATT. That's why I didn't take it too seriously. Now when I've scheduled my exam and trip I obviously take it seriously. This is why I'm turning to this forum to ask for advice regarding techniques and tips what scores to aim for etc. I've been doing 75 questions per day for 2-3 weeks upping my score with 10-15%, like you can read in my first post. I have no choice but to take it, otherwise my ATT is running out.

Flying out to NYC for NCLEX
Yeah I did! I did one assessment, however.. can't remember what result I got there, and didn't take it too serious lol. Ive got my second assessment left. When would be a good time to do that? I've considered buying NCSBN's own 2 question assessments. Does anyone recommend them? What score in %% on uWorld per test should I aim for?

Flying out to NYC for NCLEX
Hi. I'm a Swedish RN, BSN. 2 September I'm flying out to NYC to sit the NCLEX exam. I've been studying, quit a lot. Using Uworld, I've soon done the whole Q-bank. Usually I score 48-55%. I started out at 38-40% (lol). What can I do to improve my chances to pass? Anyone got any advice? Could u pass the NCLEX when scoring 48-55% on Uworld?

Swedish RN,BSN going for NCLEX!
Finally! After 18 months of struggling with NYSED and CGFNS, I'm finally eligible to sit the NCLEX!! Now I do have a few questions going further. 1.) With a NY RN license, is that a state that will make it "easy" to endorse/transfer my licence to other states (excluding California, I know its a hard to get a license there). 2.) How do I go about studying for the NCLEX? I graduated my BSN program 1,5 year ago. 3.) When I receive my ATT-code so I can schedule my NCLEX, for how long is that code usable? like what's the time spectrum until I need to sit the NCLEX? 4.) What happens if I fail? 5.) When (if, lol) I pass the NCLEX does anyone have any recommendations moving forward with a recruiting company or so? Thanks you everyone :) !

RN BSN Sweden -> America
Does that mean they get my form I sign, then send my school etc that paper + other documents each institution needs to fill in also and send back?.. Maybe then I.. just should buy another service from CGFNS?.. maybe the New York one wasn't the best choice lol..

RN BSN Sweden -> America
That's correct, I have 187 credits, those 7 extra credits made me eligible to take out another bachelor! :) I'm just confused on what they want from my school. Is it enough with my diploma, course name and degree? Or do they want English description on each course and what the course included? Hmmm maybe I should have chosen another service than the New York one... We'll see.. I'll send them the last papers tomorrow. I tried to PM you Spider to maybe add you on FB or something, somehow I can't figure how to use the PM function on this site!

RN BSN Sweden -> America
Hey Spider! Inspiring reading about your process! Let me explain a little where I am in the/my process! I just graduated this January from school with my two bachelors! I am crreuntly working at northen largest ER to get my acute care experience! I've started my application to the state of New York! I chose NY because it's where I want to work mostly but also because they don't require a social security number for their application. My thought about starting the paperwork this early is that I could sit for NCLEX asap and then when I have my full year of acute care I can start apply to jobs. However, I've started my application at CGFNS and I'm doing their credential service for New York, that is a specific one. Ive done two of the obligated courses (child abuse, infection control) for the state of New York and I've sent my RN application to them. Ive sent the CGFNS forms to my school and to our licensure department in Sweden. Im also sending forms (my secondary high school grades, my birthcerificate, passport etc) and a notarized application to CGFNS. Then I just have to wait for my school and the department to work. My school have said that they will send their documents next week! After I'm approved and get my ATT and passed NCLEX my plan is to get in touch with a agency who can help me get recruited. I don't know if this is the right way to go, hopefully it is. I also find it hard what exactly they want from my school - just my bachelors and all the course names and earned degrees? Or the full explanation on what the school course included etc? And since I can't find anyone that has done the New York credential it is hard to find and answer, but hopefully I get this right!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Degree of Bachelor of Medical Science with a Major in Nursing. I'm currently working at northern Europes largest ER. I've started my application to be registered in the state of NY (since you don't need a SSN). I'm just looking for someone who has done this process and/or might know about the immigration possibilities being a RN with my degrees? :)
