I’ve been a cath lab nurse for over 10 years and this is definitely unethical and only purpose is to make more $. Also all research shows anything less than 70% blocked should be treated medically and not stented. Poor patient.

I know this thread is kinda old but I was hoping someone could give me some info about the CRNA program at Columbia. I know it's a very competitive program and have a few questions. I appreciate any help. -about how many people do they take each year? -average GRE score? -average years ICU experience and does working in certain ICU's give applicant better chance (I've heard SICU and CTICU are preferred???) -does it help if you take the physics and chem at Columbia or does it matter if you took them at community college? -average starting salary first year? I got in! I am bouncing off the walls right now! I haven't received a letter yet but it says I have been admitted on UT Link. You guys should check that. Good luck and hopefully we will all meet in a few months!

Yes but I sure wish you would have been right! I called last week and they said they were preparing to send acceptance letters out. Then I got worried that I had not received anything so I called again yesterday and they said they would be sent out at the end of February. So the waiting continues...

I also interviewed with UTHSC last Tuesday. They told us we would know of acceptance by March 1st. They told you within a week you would know? That would be great if so because the waiting part is excruciating! Good luck!

Hey, just wondering if you have heard anything from UTMB yet? I thought they said we would have letters out before 1/10. I haven't received anything. Please let me know if you have. Thanks!

I just called UT Houston again. They said they won't start sending letters out for interviews until February! I asked when they would make a decision for the BACC2 program and she said students would be notified in April. That's cutting it pretty close. I'm sure UTMB would need a commitment before then.

I was wondering the same thing so I called UT Houston last week and they said they are still looking through the applications. They haven't set up any interviews yet and they said we would be notified by mail. I hope UTMB doesn't have to have an answer before we even know if we are accepted to UT Houston. Did you know that 400 people applied to Houston's BACC2 program and only 80 applied to UTMB's? The odds are much better at UTMB but I would like to know my status at both before I have to make a decision. How did your interview go at UTMB? Good luck to you!

I have my first interview to get into a BSN program in Texas this week. Did anyone have to interview for the nursing program you got into? If so, what kind of questions did they ask? I think I have a pretty good idea of what will be asked, but I want to be prepared for anything. Any advice?? Thanks!

I have an interview next Thursday so I don't know yet if I will be accepted. I know that 80-90 people apply for their accel. program and they take 20. My undergrad was a 3.05 but my nursing pre-reqs are a 3.6 and I have a 4.0 in science. In order of importance they look at : science, nursing, overall undergrad. I just hope the interview goes good. I don't know what to expect! Good luck on whatever you decide!
