  1. Hey all, I decided to take the job for the dialysis clinic. This is week 4 for me and I can say it’s going about the same as @Nurse Magnolia has described during her journey. I began cannulating this week and initiating/terminating treatment as well. This is my first job as an RN. And So far I like how it’s going! Hopefully y’all can still say the same! Good luck ?
  2. I would also love to hear more about your new position. Would you recommend this Position for a new grad? A clinic is actively hiring and I have been in touch with a recruiter who is currently in the process of getting my application to the clinic manager. I don’t have much exposure to dialysis besides the one occasion that I saw a patient get dialysis at the bedside in an ICU, however Prior to nursing school I worked in primary care clinics for about 7 years and I believe I prefer the clinic setting over a hospital unit. Good luck with your journey in dialysis nursing !!
  3. Hello, Did you take end up taking the dialysis position? I have my interview with a dialysis clinic today that is actively seeking to fill an RN position. One of my concerns is not taking a hospital RN position as my first job right out school. Will I be missing out on essential training or skills in the case I chose to move into a hospital job or acute care position in the future? I'm wondering if you share these same concerns. I did an internship and I have an offer from a local hospital but they are in a hiring freeze through July, possibly August. I really cannot afford to wait that long unemployed.
  4. Does anyone know details about the training program for new graduates RNs and what the a new RN starting pay is at Fresenius in San Antonio, TX??
