I hope this can offer you some words of encouragement or something because i was in a similar situation when i was doing my prerequistes where i didn't think i had a good enough GPA to apply to any programs. I applied to a highly competitive BSN program where I live (California) I had a 3.40 GPA, which isn't great and i also had 3 B's in my science courses which sounds horrible i know lol but i got accepted! I also had healthcare experience, as I believe you also do and that helps tremendously. I had some coworkers who were shocked that i got in because my GPA didn't seem high enough & even some friends of mine with higher GPAs hadn't applied because they didn't think they'd get accepted. My point is you should apply with what you have and see what happens. It can't hurt to just give it a shot. Before you start to retake any classes, you never know if what you have is good enough unless you try! Although I'm aware that ADN/BSN programs ARE very competitive, I feel like some people may exaggerate on exactly how competitive they actually are. You don't have to be a 4.0 student or even have A's in all of your science courses in order to get accepted. I know plenty of people who got accepted to nursing programs with one or two B's in their science courses. Hell i had 3 B's. Other factors can affect your admission as well, including healthcare experience, being bilingual, and your TEAS! Just make sure you study hard for that and if you do well i think you have a fair shot. I recommend you use the mometrix book if you haven't heard of it already, its inexpensive and on amazon. it has 4 practice tests that you can use to see your weak areas that you need to study more, and also helps to pace yourself on each section since it's a timed exam. It helped me a lot. Dont let stories about a friend of a friend of a friend who didn't get accepted scare you away! Try it out for yourself. :)

Hi! Next month I'm going to be starting my BSN program, and I'm enrolled in 4 classes plus clinical. Like a lot of nursing students I still have to work, so I'm going to be working on the only 2 days that I have off of school. I was wondering if there are any tips I could have on managing school, studying, homework & work with no days off. I know asking for "tips" is a pretty general question but I'm mostly asking for studying tips, and time management tips from people who may have had a schedule similar to mine. I haven't been a full time student in such a long time so i know I'm goig to have to make some HUGE adjustments to my studying habits and time management skills. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I just bought myself a new laptop for my program starting next month. I wanted a MacBook as well because I have an iPhone and it just made sense, but I ended up leaving with the surfacebook pro! I absolutely love it. It detaches as a tablet and has USB connections without having to buy separate docks. It has face recognition which I think is pretty cool. The aesthetic is still very sleek and minimal is the same size as the MacBook Air. Most importantly i spent hundreds of dollars less, including the warranty. The MacBook is outdated, hasn't been remodeled in years except for the addition of the touch bar (which isn't that cool anyway). I'm so glad I didn't buy a MacBook and I 100% recommend the surfacebook pro! Go check it out at Best Buy!

Hello all, I was really hoping we would find out this week too! The waiting is driving me nuts. Also I turned in my application & supplemental criteria on the very last day, and my application was reviewed over a week ago. So clearly they don't review the applications in order of submission. Not sure how the admission process goes on their end but all i know is I'm so nervous!! Good luck everybody we'll get the news very soon

i am going to turn my application in next week from what i have added up myself i have 33 or 34 points... i am a CNA and speak spanish but my gpa wasn't the greatest. We'll see how it goes... i am extremely nervous haha. Good luck to all the applicants.
