  1. I haven't decided yet! I've very torn between the two programs and would love to talk to someone about it as well. I'm not sure if allnurses allows us to private message? EDIT: Just sent you a PM mhairbear:) For anyone else who has also been accepted to both UBC/BCIT, I'd love to hear any insight as to why you chose the program you did!
  2. Congrats to everyone accepted! I was accepted as well! I'm looking now for the facebook group!
  3. Hi everyone, I've been following this thread for a while now and have also applied for the UBC BSN program. I'm in the same situation as some of you having been accepted into BCIT but have been waiting to hear back from UBC to pay the deposit. I'm really hoping we hear back from UBC before the BCIT deposit deadline! I also wanted to mention KPU has a 2-year advanced entry BSN program for those with previous degrees. There is no waitlist from year to year and acceptance is based on your application date. So if you meet the minimum requirements and are one of the first 40 people to apply for that intake, you'll be accepted.
  4. Congrats to everyone! I'm excited to meet you all in September! Does anyone by chance know why they changed the curriculum? I'm curious what the main differences will be between our curriculum and the previous one.
  5. I've been accepted as well. Congrats everyone!! Just curious, next to Acceptance Offered and under "Decision" does everyones say "Cond. Accept-Supplemental"?
  6. I was thinking the EXACT same thing haha. Is anyone else also waiting for an email from UBC nursing as well? Both schools are supposed to send emails today so I'm a nervous wreck!
  7. I've also applied for the January 2019 intake at Langara. An advisor told me that as I am a degree holder, I would be given priority admission. Even after being told that I'm still trying to keep up my pre req GPA just in case!
  8. Thank you for letting us know shay024 and Lngyn-. I wish you all the best in applying for next semester! I haven't heard anything yet either. I was hoping they'd let us know today as it is the last business day before the 30th! Any updates from anyone else?
  9. I understand. This wait is killing me too, but don't lose hope! Assuming they don't make us wait until the actual deadline of the 30th, they'll let us know this week! Only three more days!
  10. I haven't heard anything yet either! I was hoping we would have heard by now... waiting like this is the worst
  11. I have a friend who was accepted into the Jan 2018 intake and she said she found out within a week of writing her quiz that she was accepted. So hopefully we hear back soon!!
  12. I just thought of a couple different scenarios from my work/volunteer experience that I could apply to the four traits outlined in the quiz information document. I found the questions to be typical interview type questions. The hardest part for me was the time restriction as I'm a pretty slow writer! Does anyone know when we hear back from BCIT after the quiz?
  13. I was shortlisted as well! Congrats everyone! Does anyone know the total amount of applicants there were?
  14. I haven't heard anything yet either! Fingers crossed we hear soon!!
  15. I'm applying for the September intake as well. I've recently graduated with a bachelors of kin from UBC and my prereq GPA is 3.8. Volunteer wise, I've worked in hospitals abroad and am currently volunteering for a therapeutic riding program. I work in a medical clinic right now as an office manager. I havent heard anything yet from BCIT either! Looking at past forums, it looks like they've let applicants know if they're short listed or not by the end of March. I know how you feel regarding the anxiety - waiting like this is the worst! Good luck to everyone :)
