  1. Hello! I never did get the interview with Scripps after my second application. I took it as a sign that I wasn't meant to start bedside (which I kind of knew in my heart anyway from clinical experiences, blessing in disguise!). I found a contract in Covid-19 testing with one agency and then picked up a second contract with Nursefinders to work at Kaiser during their flu clinic. After flu clinic I was offered the opportunity to stay in Employee Health at Kaiser (still on contract with Nursefinders) and it's been the best experience! It's more aligned with public health which is something I'm passionate about. Also, I'm able to work part-time on a schedule to be with my daughter after school and on weekends. My schedule also allowed me to go back to school and start my RN to MSN (my previous BA is in Social Work). I will say most of my peers did eventually get into Scripps after a second round, and they're all pretty happy. I guess my advice is stay positive about getting that interview, apply again if you don't get it but really want to be there. But it's also okay to look outside for other opportunities.
  2. I got an email yesterday saying they have decided to move forward with other candidates, which is a bummer. I hope you hear back and get an interview!
  3. Are you working at CV? I’ve been working at LJ since Jan, but from June-December I was working as a screener at the TP clinic. This is my second time applying, so I was hopeful.
  4. I'm not sure. I still haven't heard anything from CV, so at this point I don't think I've been selected, but I'm still listed as "under consideration" on Scripps so who knows? I don't personally know anyone else who was forwarded to CV, so it's been hard to compare notes and see if they all received interview emails earlier this month. Did anyone get their application sent to hospitals they didn't work at? I only worked one shift in CV and that was last May, so I never got a chance to know the managers, or vice versa.
  5. Congrats on the interviews! A friend of mine interviewed for Mercy SD today too. I haven’t heard of anyone interviewing for CV yet.
  6. Hey where did you do your ADN? I was at Grossmont. I take my NCLEX the 15th. Good luck!
  7. I got an email that my app was going to Mercy CV last Monday, but nothing since then. Has anyone received emails for interviews at CV? I’m internal, currently working at La Jolla, graduated December, this is my second time applying.
  8. I know several people who moved forward to the live panel interviews, they were all already on acute care units as a SNE, with a recommendation from their unit manager. I know some people who were working on a unit, but did not get a live interview. No one I know has received an offer letter yet, I think the managers probably wait until all interviews are over to send out the offer letters. I did get an email survey asking about my experience with the application process. I was hopeful there might be last minute selections, but I don't think that's going to happen at this point.
  9. I know some people have received letters that their application was being forwarded to the hiring managers. I did not receive that letter. Not losing hope yet, because it's still early! But I think there was a massive number of applicants for this period. If you were working as a SNE on a unit and got a letter of recommendation from your manager, you're probably in good shape. I was working as a SNE, but not at a hospital on a specific unit (I have been working at two different clinics since July).
  10. I just checked my status and mine also says job closed. Which I interpret as not being selected, but who knows? I do know they started sending out emails for interviews and I haven't received notification that my application was under review anymore.
  11. I submitted on 9/13 and didn't get the email for a video interview until 9/14 (today). I think the system for sending out video interview invitations is a little different for each hospital, so depending on your preferences listed.
  12. Hi everyone, I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying for the Scripps New Grad Residency for January and March 2021. I applied yesterday as an internal candidate (I'm a SNE with the SSRS department), I put my preferences as Mercy, the La Jolla. My specialty preferences were Tele/DOU then Med/Onc. I did not receive an email yet for the recorded video interview, but I know others have. Staying hopeful! Good luck to everyone, hope to see some future coworkers on this thread. Sarah
  13. Is old Kaiser the location on Zion or in La Mesa? Or another location?
  14. I studied with friends which helped! I used the Mometrix TEAS guide, and my friends had the ATI test book. I also looked up "free TEAS practice tests" and found a few online. I heard the A and B tests were worth the investment, but I didn't try them. I scored a 92.
  15. I got my acceptance today also! If I hadn't I would still be thinking positively because I believe they send out to multiple groups. So they fill a few spots by 4/2, then keep sending out letters. Good luck to everyone!
