DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
Oh man. That sucks. They were making you take too many core classes though. Have you applied to any other nursing schools?

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
according to the curriculum, they offer it one after the other and they're offered during both semesters, in spring and fall. And it takes at least 7 semesters to complete the nursing classes, which is about 3 years.

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
How do you know that you need all these classes? It's only the ones that say "needed" right, something like that? And yeah from what I saw in the curriculum, we take our gen ed classes at the same time as the nursing classes.

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
Congrats on getting accepted! Have you taken does humanity courses? They're making me retake one class because it wasn't equivalent still trying to get it accepted. It was kind of confusing to read the transcript evaluation sheet!

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
I sent you a private message on here. And no I haven't! Just seen pictures. I've heard good things about the school from other nursing forums on here. I just read that the area isn't the best, but I saw it on google maps and it honestly doesn't look bad at all.

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
For some reason it was a 3 credit course at my school but it had both lecture and lab. So I guess they want to see why it wasn't a 4 credit course. It does suck! I would hate to retake a class that I paid for and got a good grade in

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
Yeah because it didn't meet their requirement I'm hoping I could find a way to not retake it. And yes! Once you get your package, it'll show you every class you need to take and how your credits transferred. Do you have a degree already, or did you just take the prerequisite?

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
They're making me retake microbiology í ½í¸© I'm trying my hardest to make them accept it. I'm still waiting for a response from the department. I think if everything is accepted, we can finish in 3 years... have you heard the same? I want to finish ASAP but accelerated nursing programs weren't for me haha.

Traditional Nursing bachelor degree
Hey! Yeah I'm looking for a traditional 2 year BSN program. Getting an ABSN usually take about a year or 16 months depending on the school. It is more rigorous and doesn't allow time to work, which is why I rather take the traditional 2 year program where I'm free during the summer. Since I have a degree and my prerequisite done, I would only be taking nursing classes in a traditional 2 year program too.

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
My cumulative gpa is a 2.7 , pretty low. But my prerequisite gpa is a 3.6. I heard they look at the overall applicant making it more lenient to get accepted! I hope you get in too!

Traditional Nursing bachelor degree
I live in NYC, but I'm open to reside anywhere else within the US. I got accepted into a college in upstate NY, but they're making me retake microbiology and I don't want to considering I paid $3,000 for that class and got an A, so why would I want to retake it only cause they're not accepting it. I've searched colleges in NYC but I don't meet a lot of their requirements due to my cumulative gpa. I've seen other colleges with gpa acceptance as low as 2.5 but most are accelerated programs. I want to go more towards the traditional route.

DYouville Nursing Fall 2018
Hey! It took them a while in my case (like 2 months) because they thought I had some documents missing and it took the counselor a while to fix it (she kept forgetting so I had to be constantly reminding her), but once it was fixed I got an email saying my application was completed and I should receive information within 2-3 weeks, but I got my acceptance letter in a little over a week! So as long as they have everything, it should be pretty quick! They will email you if they're missing anything or when your application is complete!

Traditional Nursing bachelor degree
Hello! i am looking for traditional BSN programs, but I'm having a hard time finding one. I preferiably want to apply to a 2 year bachelor program (instead of accelerated or a 3-4 year program). i already have a bachelor degree in a biology but I can't find jobs with it which is why I'm considering Nursing, and have all the nursing prerequisite classes done. I have a cumulative 2.6 gpa (please don't judge I was going through tough times) but my prerequisite gpa is a 3.7. In all, I'm looking for a 2 yr program that's just going to make me take the nursing classes. Thanks in advance!! :)

How did you pay for nursing school?
I'm currently taking out my second bachelor. Have a bachelor in biology and now want to pursue nursing. I used most of my college bond money back when I took out my bio degree. So I'm just looking at different ways to pay for Nursing. How much was your tuition? Did you take out loans? If so, which one? Did you get tuition reimbursement? How?

NP vs. DNP
Hey guys! I'm in nursing school and I'm thinking of studying to be a Neonatal nurse for my masters. I was just wondering, what is the difference between a Nurse Practioner and a Doctor of Nurse Practice? In the sense of work ethics, responsibilities, salary, etc. I know you need a MSN to get into the DNP program, so let's talk about the interesting stuff :) how many years of experience do I need to get into a neonatal MSN program? Do you think it's worth getting a DNP? What is the curriculum in a DNP program? What do we learn? Is it more research? Lastly, how many years is a DNP program? And generally how many years of experience as a NP do we need? Also, just out of curiosity, if you don't mind mentioning, at what age did you start your masters in nursing career? Thank you guys in advance!!

Best path to take for a nursing degree?
Hi guys! Im kind of in a tough situation. (Please no judging). I have a low cumulative gpa of 2.6 and a prerequisite gpa of a 3.6. I am currently applying for accelerated nursing programs, but I know how competitive these programs are. I also have the option to apply to the regular Bsn programs and the associate nursing program and then move forward from there. There is a college with a nursing program that will take me 3 years to graduate, whereas an associate degree will take me one year (2 semesters) to graduate and then some colleges have the option to directly apply to the master of nursing program after the associate degree (and a year of working as a nurse). What option do you think is best? Im 24 and don't want to be in school for so long and want to get into the MSN program asap. But I also wanna take the best path possible.
