  1. Honestly I kind of just crammed a few days before which I wouldn’t recommend ? it was very stressful
  2. Hi! I'm getting really nervous for May 1st too! My prereq gpa is a 3.83 and my teas score is a 354, but I'm debating taking the teas test again.
  3. Hi! I'm super anxious and ready for the application to come out already. I'm currently a UF undergrad. My overall GPA is a 3.75, last 60 is around 3.85, prerequisites is a 3.7. I have volunteer hours at Shands. I met with the advisor (Kenneth Wynn, I think) about a week ago to ask a few questions and he was pretty helpful!
  4. Hi, I'm new here, so sorry if this is as annoying as I'm sure it sounds. I'm just trying to see what/if any my chances are for getting into an ABSN program. I'm a 3rd year applied physiology and kinesiology major at UF. I came into college wanting to be a nurse but was told, and believed, I wasn't good enough. I went to pre-occupational therapy route (hence the APK major) but found my passion along the way and have come back to nursing for sure. My grades definitely reflect being lost about what I wanted for the first half of college though. My first two years, I took all the pre-reqs for OT (basically the same as nursing) and didn't excel. I just wasn't passionate and didn't have the study skills developed yet (drives me crazy now.) My sophomore fall semester I got a C+ in physiology. However, since then (when I started volunteering at the hospital and switched back to a pre-nursing track) my grades have extremely improved. I had gotten a B in anatomy, B+ in stats, and C in physio. However, since then I've gotten an A in microbio/lab, A in nutrition, A in chemistry, A in human growth and development. (My only grade less than an A was a B+ in exercise physio which was an extremely hard class at my school.) I plan on retaking physio this summer and getting an A, but UF won't replace my grade or the GPA points (I'm just hoping to show that I am now dedicated and know the material.) I volunteer at the hospital and plan to either get my CNA cert or get a part time job at the hospital as well. Basically, long story short, I have an ok overall gpa, 3.71, but a not so great science gpa due to a C in physiology. Do I stand a chance here?
