I'm not entirely sure. One email I received said due to high volume of applicants, decisions will be made AFTER July 15th whereas another email said decisions and letters would be made BY July 15th. I'm hoping that we will be receiving them by early next week.

Nothing yet, but we are about to enter July so just 2 more weeks until we find out ( by July 15th decisions will be made). Hoping for sooner!

Random question, but just wanted an opinion: Is it worth getting a CNA certification before going to school in the Fall? I have read that you are qualified to test for the CNA exam after the first semester of clinicals ( not sure if that's true) so wondering if I should just save my money and do that. I would like to work as a CNA while in the program. Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

Mine was about 1 page and 2 small paragraphs, so I did go over just a little bit. I am coming from a Marketing Background as well and do not have any professional experience in the Medical Field except for volunteering at Children's Hospital. Now we wait, good luck to all!

Definitely Doable! I took both Micro and A&P 2 this passed Fall while working full time (9-5) and volunteering one night a week at a hospital. I received an A in Micro and an A- in A&P 2. I did not do so well in my first Bachelor's degree, so I put my all into getting good grades for Nursing School Pre-reqs. (Just got accepted to an ADN program for Fall 2018!) It wasn't easy, but I got by with the help of group texts with classmates, reading/ re-reading all material, and extra studying during weekends/lunch breaks. If you can manage your time and remain dedicated to your end goal, you will do well :) Good Luck!

Thanks! I emailed a woman from Curry and she did confirm that as long as I have the grade submitted in Nursing CAS, they will review the grade when my transcript arrives. For the personal statement, did you all remain within one page? I saw in previous years that some people believed you could be penalized for going over the one page. Hopefully not the case!

Hi All! I am applying to the program as well. I applied to MGH last year and they also used Nursing CAS so thankfully my application is all set for the most part. I got waitlisted at MGH and was recently just accepted to Masssoit's ADN Program. I am trying to decide which route to go, accelerated or take my time. For Curry, I have all of my pre-reqs completed except for Chemistry. I am currently re-taking Statistics on Portage Learning ( I received a C in undergrad) and I am a bit nervous about the transcript. In the email Curry sent us a couple of weeks ago, I believe they stated that they would accept transcripts sent before the June 1st date even if they may not be received by the school by June 1st. I will be done with the class this week so sending in my transcript at the end of this week. Does anyone know if this is true or if I am interpreting the email wrong?

Just received an email stating that due to the semester starting, my name has been removed from the wait-list and to reapply for next semester.

They do, I believe they keep a wait list of 11 people.

Looking back at my rubric, I had about 58 points before the essay points were added ( I'm guessing 61-64 total?) I am a new student and when I click on my degree works (on a computer) it doesn't work, so maybe we just don't have access to it yet!

For the majority of schools I have been looking into/ applied to statistics is a required class. I am in Mass and this was for BSN programs and one ASN program I looked into. Other than statistics, Algebra was required for most ASN programs.

@Joy, Exciting! I clicked on unofficial transcript then clicked on the student tab. From there, there was a list: registration, student records, financial aid etc... If you click on registration, you can then click on check your registration status!

Very sorry to hear that happen. I took my nursing pre-reqs at Quincy and was planning on applying for the Fall Semester. I would definitely check out Massasoit. It is affordable, a good program, and it looks as though they want to help out the students that are stuck in this predicament. Best of luck! I got an email this morning to register for a student account at Massasoit. ( I was not a student there previously) After making an account, I snooped around and checked my registration status. It says Nurse Education Full Time Fall 2018!!

Curry College's Accelerated Program is accepting applications until 06/01. They don't need TEAS exam scores and I believe you can apply with 2 classes not completed. Good luck in your search!

Hate to be the bearer of the bad news but the state is ending Quincy College's Nursing Program at the end of this semester I was planning on applying but was unsure due to their low exam rates and being on probation. " The state Board of Registration in Nursing voted Wednesday to withdraw approval of Quincy College's nursing programs, effectively shutting them down at the end of the academic year. Students who are graduating this summer will be able to take their license exams. Other students will have to transfer to other schools or try to wait for the college to receives state approval again in order to do so. Without the school having state approval, a nursing program's graduates cannot take the national licensure tests needed to become a nurse."
