Check out New Balance, they've been my holy grail shoe and I can find them in all white pretty easily (which is required for my nursing school). I actually bought 2 pairs and rotate them (and wear them almost everyday) I've also heard good things about K-Swiss shoes if you haven't already looked into them.
I love mine. They aren't my absolute favorites (my favorites are my Carhartt Force scrubs) but for the price I really like mine and the prints are cute.
9 days of class from 8am-4:30pm and 16 hours of clinicals over 2 days. It was a lot of random info thrown at me over the course of two weeks and here's to hoping I'll pass my state test this month. It was an accelerated STNA course in Ohio.
I would make sure that you're comfortable being on your feet in your chucks for 8-12 hours a day. I wore mine on a trip to Chicago when I was walking 10-12 miles a day and severely regretted it. I had major blisters on the bottoms and sides of my feet and a couple of my toes were actually bleeding. For my STNA clinicals I wore my regular walking sneakers and was pretty okay on my feet all day but would've ended up painful feet in my converse.
I know I'm a bit late in commenting, but check the requirements of your RN program. I know the one I am applying to requires you to be a State Tested Nursing Aide (basically a CNA) in order to complete clinicals in the first year and the other programs I had looked into gave extra points for experience as a CNA/STNA.
