  1. Good morning. I believe I pay approximately $325 per credit hour.
  2. Good morning. The program is not competitive at all. As where other nursing schools require you to take the HESI or the NET, there is NO admission test in order to get into the program. There is also NO expiration date on prerequisite classes
  3. Yes provided you have all of your prerequisites I’m in the program can be completed within two years. That also includes a Summer session. I believe they do have some because my friend and talked about flying from Houston to Dallas over the weekend to do our clinicals when the time comes. What I can say is as the program grows those connections are being made. You can email directly directly at [email protected]
  4. I’m sorry I sort of misread your initial message. I thought you were saying that they were starting a program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. My apologies at any rate one of the first classes that you have to take is introduction to professional nursing and I’m taking that right now as far as the clinical sites are located I have friends who are a little bit further along in the program. Unfortunately you have to find your own clinical site. One friend has told me they give you a list and it’s up to you to call around. I do know they have a few hospitals in the Dallas Fort Worth area, East Texas, Jacksonville Texas that they already have relationships with. I’m in Houston and unfortunately none of the hospitals in Houston have relationships with the school just yet. That is some of the frustration my friends are experiencing. Once you apply to the program and submit all your transcripts a counselor will review everything and let you know if there are classes that you need to take prior to you enrolling in the nursing program. You will then be assigned a coach as well as a counselor. Your counselor will meet with you via Microsoft office for a face-to-face. At that time she will go over suggested classes with you depending on whether or not you’re going part time or full time. You will then enroll in the class accordingly. One thing that you have to do is an orientation which is almost like a class. You have 20 assignments that you have to do and basically these assignments kind of prepare you for taking online classes. If you ask me it’s a way for the University to make extra money because the orientation because you are charged for it And it has nothing to do with nursing.
  5. Hello Samantha! Hope all is well. I just started the LVN to BSN program in August 2021. The classes are 8 weeks long. Right now I’m just taking 1 class, Introduction to Professional Nursing. The class is pretty simple. One weekly discussion board post, one response to a classmates post, one paper, one group project and one professional resume. I was not aware they had a nursing program in Dallas. Where can that information be found? Tracy
  6. I have a friend who works at the VA hospital in Houston Texas. She works with a group of ladies who started the program last year. According to her they have nothing but favorable things to say about the program. I’ll try to reach out to her tomorrow to see if she can give me any more information. One thing that she did mention is that depending on where you live the school they have clinical sites already set up for you. Unfortunately here in Houston it’s up to us to hind our own clinical site. I’m really not worried about it at this point because I’m sure as the program grows I’m sure the school will secure additional clinical sites.
  7. Hello. I just applied for the program myself. How long did it take for them to review your transcripts and notify you of your acceptance?
  8. Mine just says credit. My guess is since we were able to complete the nursing application, we should be good.
  9. Hello! You will definitely get in with your high score. Congratulations!!! I have gone back to read old threads, from what understand class is 4 or 5 days a week to start then it will drop down to 3 or 4.
  10. That may have something to do with it. I'm in Houston, TX. Most hospitals here especially in the Medical Center will not hire you unless you are a BSN. That's not to say that you will not be able to get a job here but, just having an ADN limits your options unless you have years of verifiable work experience and even then some hospitals may try to lowball you on the salary because you are an ADN.
  11. What state are you in?
  12. When I spoke to the counselor, she informed me the cutoff was 760. My score is 821. What did you make on the TSI?
  13. Hello! Has anyone applied to College of the Mainland's LVN to RN program for Summer 2018?
