Yes! See you there @samllu To those considering the Baptist Scholarship, have you guys completed all the required classes to be eligible for the scholarship? The advisor I spoke to when I paid for my seat said I was still missing the class, "Intro to Sociology". I might have to take the online class in a mini session if it's possible, but at the same time I don't want to pay for another class if it won't make me eligible.. is anyone on the same boat?

My bad. The information session is on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at 9:00am. It'll be in the Medical campus in room 1171.

This seems like good advice, and I hate to sound naive, but why is this? I'm still a student nurse and still far off from getting my first nursing job, but I'm very curious about what you've said..

I feel the same way! But lately I've been getting more and more excited. I start in January and knowing that in 2 Months I'll be starting my journey to become a nurse is making me more excited. Although I have my anxiety about clinicals and exams, I know that these feelings are normal when journeying into the unknown. The fear will gradually grow into confidence the more experience you get so we shouldn't be afraid to put ourselves out there. Mistakes will happen and you can always ask your peers or seniors for help. You're not alone!

Hello. I've just recently been accepted into nursing school and I start in January. It is required for us to do a PPD test before orientation and I tested positive. I've never tested positive before so I went ahead and got a chest X-ray. I had to get 2 chest x-rays done, because the first time I got it done, the X-rays were either too bright or too dark and the APRN told me I might have latent TB. Of course I refused this, and went to get another chest X-ray done at another location, and this time the X-rays showed my lungs perfectly and showed no sign of TB whatsoever. It was pretty scary, but I'm glad that my results turned out negative.

I know what you mean. I can't wait for January so we could all start our journey!

Before applying, several months ago, I was in a conversation with a lady who was enrolled in the Accelerated program. She said it was intense and you definately cannot work during the program, but she said that it is very doable, and as long as you read ahead of lectures you will be fine. No distractions, and you will be okay.

I'd like to know what they said about the accelerated program as well!

Hi everyone. I've been following this thread for some time now, and I'm very excited to meet you all. I applied for both the Generic FT and accelerated options, and I was accepted to both programs. In the end I chose to go the generic route, because I felt like it was more my pace. I'm currently in the process of being compliant on complio. I'm just missing my Student Health Record, and I'm taking my skills test to renew my BLS tomorrow. I'll be in the Homestead Campus, but it seems like most of you are going to the Medical campus? I hope I can get to know some of you before the first day, maybe during the Orientation? Congratulations to everyone who got in, and for those who didn't get in yet, I'm still praying for you. Don't give up hope.
