  1. Hi, I'm a kiwi now working in the USA. I used to work in the ER in Hamilton and they had employed philippine nurses. They were registered nurses that were required to complete further clinical hours. Once they completed there hours they were hired on. I know there was a large number that came not only to the ER but also to the the floors. Which made for a great support group. The hospital arranged shared housing. For more info try contacting there recruitment centre - 64 7 8398899 maybe they can help.
  2. Hi yah, I'm a nurse that has worked in the United Arab Emirates. You do not need a BSRN to work there. There is no Nursing board. You apply to the hospital with your nursing transcript of training and it is approved by the ministry of health. The United Arab Emirates has better conditions than Saudi - women my drive, they do not require women to cover, there is also churches and you may wear a necklace with a cross. Oh and alcohol is allowed. They pay is almost the same.
  3. Hi Yah, I just moved from San Diego. I worked as RN with Sharp healthcare, I worked there 1st as a traveller in the ER - pay was good $ 32 an hour plus $4 on nights. I also signed on with the hospital, for nights they ofter $10 000 sign on bonus for 2 year contract, or $3000 sign on for night shift. As staff the pay was $36 hour plus $4 for night shift. I have 13 years experience.
  4. Yes this is a good wage for new zealand - also remember that even if this sounds bad compared to what you earn in the UK - the cost of living in NZ is low in comparision to the UK. You can also expect to get atleast 4weeks paid vacation a year. Plus the environment is great.
