   Hi! im in BCIT's january 2018 intake. They do look at work experience over volunteer experience. you could have over 200 hours of volunteer experience, but if someone else has job experience they would be chosen over the volunteer hours.

   hey!! don't lose hope yet. BCIT does not only look at GPA. some people have gotten into the program with less than 3.1 GPA. You have a higher chance of getting in with work experience or if you already have a degree.

   I am so sorry this has happened to you! None of it was your fault because you did exactly what had to be done in order to apply for the program. I wouldn't call the school anymore, i would actually go in person and be assertive about what had happen...
