How to get over fear of blood, injuries, etc?
That's really good to hear! I'm glad I'm not the only one! Everyone keeps making me feel bad saying that if I can't handle then it's gonna be hard for me. Just gave mom her first injection. It went great! I didn't feel faint at all and just focused on her abdomen lol. Thanks everyone!

How to get over fear of blood, injuries, etc?
My mom tripped and fell this past weekend and hit her chin/head pretty hard on the sidewalk. She also broke her kneecap and had surgery on it yesterday. She was telling me about what her knee looked like after she fell and was saying it looked lumpy and stuff, and she told me how the doctor stuck his hand in between the two leg bones and said "yep, it's definitely broken". I started to feel like I was going to pass out. I also asked her if I could give her lovenox injections for her since we just learned in school but haven't actually done them on a real person. Then I started thinking about it and getting nervous about me causing her pain or screwing up the injection and something bad happening. Anyways, I'm worried I'm not cut out to be a nurse? I'm only in my first semester and we haven't done clinical yet, so I have no idea how I am with real patients, but after this situation with my mom, I'm a little worried. Did anyone go into nursing school being scared of blood, needles, etc. and was able to overcome it?

Idk which road to take
If I were you, I'd go to the nearest community college with an ASN program and do that instead! A lot of hospitals will pay for your BSN anyways! Plus there are things like career source (for low income individuals... not sure if you qualify but it's something to look into) that will pay for your tuition and books in your asn program. I'm currently in nursing school for my associates and the entire program is about 9k... That's tuition, books, fees, everything. Seriously, you should strongly consider it! Also, my program allows you to take your prereqs while you're in nursing school. Maybe that would be something to consider also?

Nursing versus PA route due to set-backs
I'm sure that OP doesn't think nursing school is the "easy way out". Orgo and nursing school are completely different. They're both difficult in different ways. Orgo requires you to think a different way about things and it's really hard to explain to someone who's never taken an orgo class. Some people's brains just have a way harder time grasping the material. It depends on what kind of learner you are. I think you should maybe shadow an RN to make sure you really want to switch. I pursued pharmacy school for 3 years before spontaneously switching to nursing. I wasted a lot of money and time. You should make sure that it's something you're truly interested in before you go ahead and switch majors. I'm telling you, as someone who failed orgo 1 and then came back and passed orgo 2 with an A, it can absolutely be done. So do not let that awful class get in the way of what you want to do! lol

How did you get accepted into your ADN program?
We had to either have a high prereq GPA or a HESI score greater than 90. I got in with a 96 on the HESI, as I haven't yet finished all my prereqs! There are some students who haven't done any prereqs and will take all of them while they're taking nursing classes. Props to them because there's no way i'd be able to do that!

How to tell parents i'm not going to pharmacy school?
If anyone cares for an update, I told my mom first. She was confused, but happy in the end. She's worked with a nursing agency as a coordinator for 30 something years so she's been giving me nonstop advice about everything since I told her. My dad, however, took a lot of convincing. He was pretty disappointed (worst words to hear out of your parents mouths) at first, but now he's accepted it I think. Still waiting to hear whether I've been accepted to nursing school or not :) Thanks everyone!

Being rejected with a perfect score, is it normal?
Thank you!

Help! How did you pass Chemistry 1032!!
Have you tried Khan Academy? They have videos for practically every concept in chemistry. Also, most colleges offer some kind of free tutoring on campus. You should also try and meet with your professor with any questions you may have. Often, if they see you putting in an extra effort to learn, they are more willing to help you out if you're on the edge of the next letter grade at the end of the semester. Make sure to do your homework/practice problems beforehand and go to him with all of the questions that have come up. Stay after class and ask for more help on concepts you didn't understand during class. You can also PM me if you need help on any specific questions. I've taken up to Organic Chemistry 2 because I thought I was going to be a pharmacist :)

Being rejected with a perfect score, is it normal?
I've had a similar situation happen to me this application period! The school lost my transcripts and denied me saying that my application was incomplete. I've called a few times and they're still investigating. They have admitted that they lost the transcripts and they've now found them and they are shown as having been received September 22nd, 9 days before the application period closed. Every time I call and ask what's going on, she says that they're still working on a resolution. It's been 10 days since I got the rejection email now :c

School lost my transcripts and denied admission?
I submitted my application to a nursing school in the middle of September, and my scores were pretty good, so I was feeling pretty good about it. Fast forward to October 13th when I opened my email and was surprised to see I had been denied by the school. I decided to call and find out what I could do to improve my chances of getting in for the Fall semester. One of the people in the nursing office said that my scores were excellent, but that they didn't consider me because my admissions application was incomplete. She said that they never received my high school transcripts (but they had received all of my college transcripts). I informed her that I physically dropped off the transcripts myself a few days before submitting the application. She said that she would look into it and call me back. So, they ended up finding my transcripts and she said (about a week ago) that she would call me before the end of the day to let me know more information. I never received a call. I called the next day and she said that she was still working on it and would let me know as soon as they had a resolution. I still have not received a call, and now when I try and call them, it just goes to their voicemail. I'm sad that it wasn't anything I did that prevented me from getting into nursing school. I did everything that I was required to do on my end. I still am holding on to some hope that someone will decline and they will offer me their spot but I'm also trying to not get my hopes up because I don't want to be disappointed again. This waiting is killing me and part of me thinks that they're never going to call me back, because every time she has said she will call me in x amount of time, she never does. I just want to know already if I will be in nursing school this spring or not :c This is basically just me ranting at this point and i'm sorry. I'll be done now!
