Just got my packet in the mail!! I got in and received a 15k scholarship

I was told by someone in the PNP department that our letters would be physically mailed out, but maybe they call us too?

not necessarily. i applied for peds so she's probably talking about peds specifically. i was told that they interview literally everyone who applied as long as their application was complete by the deadline.

you guys! i emailed the school asking when decisions would be released so i know if i should request deposit deadline extensions from other programs and they said: "We are sending out final decisions next week for the programs and you should receive them by the end of next week or beginning of the following week." I did specify that I applied for the PNP concentration so I'm not sure if this is just pediatrics specifically but yeah. It sounds like everything gets physically mailed out first.

if i were you i'd try to contact the person who interviewed you because they're on the actual committee for your specialty. my interviewer told me that the admissions office is only responsible for sending out decisions once they've been made. they won't know when your committee will be done though.

oh i didn't know that....that makes me super weary of their program

It's so frustrating how slow they are...like I've already heard back from most programs and have to give them answers soon

Does anyone who interviewed for PNP know when our decisions are coming out? The wait is killing me!

I applied on 12/6/17 for the PNP track and JUST received my interview invitation so they're definitely not near done with their decisions haha

I live in California but I applied to 4 schools in Boston (BC, MGH, Simmons, and Northeastern) so for me the trip out is worth it to visit all 4. When I ask if/how their curriculum may suffer in comparison to a 3 year school I'll definitely let you know what they say! And I'm going to emphasize that the lower price/faster transition into the work force isn't an acceptable answer (at least not for me). I want to know if the education I get will be comparable to that of a 3 year program or else I can't justify it.

I also applied to BC! I'm personally really torn because I've always wanted to go to BC, but the length of the program concerns me. I'm planning on going to the admitted students day on feb 10th to at least give it a fair shot since the interview day at Yale was more or less like an admitted students day. I'm also going to ask someone why the program is so short and how the education they provide compares to a traditional 3 year program. Also I applied for peds, not psych

He sent me my letter and I got in! I honestly have no idea what my first choice is haha. I think my top choices are Simmons, BC, Yale, and northeastern. I haven't gotten a decision from Yale or Northeastern yet though so everything is still up in the air!

So I spoke with Brian on the phone and he said that I needed to give the letter more time to arrive since I live in California. He did say though that he would email me a scan of the decision letter itself though. I tried calling Jenna first but no one picked up.

Does anyone know what time their office opens?

Maybe it's by specialty? When I talked to the director he said getting the acceptances out depended on other people turning stuff in or something so maybe today the specialty directors were handing in who they wanted accepted? At this point I'm just trying to hold onto any hope I can haha. Sending lots of love to all of you regardless!
