Linfield Spring 2022
Hi! I am looking forward to starting too! I found this: https://www.linfield.edu/academics/academic-calendars/portland-undergraduate.html I *think* we go until May 26th This year it looks like they started Aug. 30-Dec. 17th, so looks like a 3 month break. (The ABSN program goes year round--we aren't the accelerated)... As for loans, I don't know ugh! Have you reached out to the financial aid office? They have been super helpful for me.

Thanks for your advice! What do you recommend to do between now and when we begin in February? Things to review? I am guessing we take off and it is intense from the beginning! Thanks! Congrats on graduating!

I think there are 80 of us but I don’t know anyone. I grew up in Portland but have lived all over and just moved from California a few months ago.

ABSN in Reno or Portland?
Hi everyone, I am probably getting a divorce and will be moving to live with family in either Reno or Portland. I have a few prereqs to go before I can apply to an ABSN program. I am having a hard time choosing where to go. I have one daughter (3 years old) and am hoping to get into the workforce as fast as possible. I would have more babysitter options in Portland but my sister is a nurse in Reno and would have her there to help with school if I lived there. I have been looking at: OHSU & Concordia's ABSN as well as University of Nevada/Reno's ABSN. Anyone have insight on which is the easiest to get into? Also insight into new grad programs in either location? I hope to ultimately work in the NICU. Thank you!

Online Prereqs
I am asking for advice. I am hoping to enroll in an ABSN program in about two years, when my military service ends. I have a bachelor's and master's degrees but need to complete all of the science courses. I don't know where I'll be applying because my husband will still be in the military. With my frequent deployments, it would be easiest to take online classes. Did anyone do this? Were they accepted? I am specifically looking at Oregon State's online classes. They are the same as on campus apparently. Since I don't know which schools or even state I will be living in, is it too much of a gamble to do online prereq lab science classes? Thank you!
