  1. The CPR instructor sounded like a jerk who wished she could be a nurse. However, she can't so she have to pick on people every session to make her feel better about herself. Depends on which nursing school you goes to but most nursing school nowadays went away with the old method of you have to work hard and cry everyday to become a great nurse to a very supportive learning environment. Atleast that was my experience from nursing school and I just graduated. Just ignore that instructor and move on with your life.
  2. Yes you can! I graduated with my BSN and passed the NCLEX on the first try. I rarely missed a weekend going out with my friends and/or family. Just work on your time management. As long as you spread out your studying over the week you'll be fine!
  3. I took my NCLEX for the first time last month and pass. My UWorld average was 50-60%. I actually went through all 1400 or so questions in 12 days. My regiment was wake up at 7:30AM study till 10PM for 12 days straight. I took the first UWORLD self assessment and got a 59% (High Chance of Passing) around day 6. Then I took the second self assessment and got a 53% (Borderline Chance of Passing) on day 11. Day 12 I basically just skim on some stuffs and labs review up until noon. Then I went on a solo hike for 4 hours and try to sleep early lol Took 2 pills of melatonin but didn't really have any deep sleep but I kept my eyes closed for 8 hours. Hopes this helps put it in perspective. Just remember, the NCLEX is a exam of safety and minimum competency, don't think way into the questions. Always think "what is the worse thing that could happen if I assess this patient instead of the other patient?".
  4. Failure is not an option. Think about all the time and resources you spent getting through nursing school. This is just a small bump in your career! Just because you can't pass the first time around doesn't make you an inadequate nurse. Never give up! You only fail when you stop trying. Wake up every morning, make your bed first, then look in the mirror and look at yourself and says "I will pass the NCLEX!". Do that every day until you take the NCLEX the second time. You GOT this!
  5. I took my exam back in September and tried the PVT an hour after the test with wrong security code. It gave me the good pop up. I tried again 5 hours later and it also gave me a good pop up. The next day I went on continentaltesting website and type in my information and found out that I pass. I used U-WORLD for 12 days straight, established a study schedule. Wakes up at 7:30AM, get coffee and goes right to studying until 10PM at night. I did the questions and read the rationale and really understand why I get the questions right or wrong. If you have any questions to something specific I do the day before the test or the day of the test feel free to message me. Good luck! :) ATTENTION: If you are in IL you can use the continental testing website to see if you pass or fail for FREE. Pearsonvue has to report your result to Continental Testing. Usually the result will pop up on the Continental Website about 36-48 hours after you have taken the test.
